Yea because Gordon was getting the Clips into the playoffs before being traded...

1 combination was all that mattered between the pels and cavs

1 thing different and the history of the nba would've changed

They would've won more than 21 games if Gordon played say 40 games

They looked pretty solid before he went down

Okafor is young and cheap.

Was about to say. If Boogie doesn't get injured he's still here and a lot of other variables. Demps did a terrible job prior, but it was actually a great "last stand" set of moves that propelled us to some playoff success for once.

for the umptenth time... we didn’t have the cap space to offer Rondo as much as he got from LA.

Isn’t Rondo on record, saying that he would’ve taken less to stay with the Pels?

Sorry what's the issue here?

That a nice team was sabatogued by injuries. Twice.

Ah boogie, the trade that fired the gm. Buddy heild was 3rd in 3 pt contest. The pick became two decent guys. All that for a half season.

I lost a lot of respect for those guys when the Pels nutted up without Davis before the ASB and beat a very good OKC team, and they didn’t say a single thing about how that team played hard or the game.

Charles Barkley is a short-sighted simpleton when it comes to building a roster. He just doesn’t get it.

I heard this on television and this is the exact quote spoken on television. I’m not familiar with this source, but it’s definitely the quote I remember.

“The Pelicans could have got a deal if they wanted me, but obviously they went in a different direction,” Rondo said. “They had money. But they didn’t want to sign ‘Cuz’ [DeMarcus Cousins] and they didn’t want to sign me.”

Would Rondo have played for the MLE? If not, then who did he expect us to dump to drop beneath the cap and sign him for more?

Rondo is probably under the mistaken impression they had his Bird rights.

They didn’t, hence why they could only offer the MLE.

I saw a passing comment way after the fact from MM once that they were hoping to do 1/$6 for Rondo and use the rest of the MLE on someone else. I don’t know if that was a plan or an actual offer that Rondo found insulting so he found an offer $500k higher than the Pels could go to spite them.

And he could have ended up being traded back to us because LeBron wanted 14 new brothas to play with.

I don’t think it worked out like he planned it to do.
