• We need a true rim protecting C

• A veteran PG would be very helpful

• A 3 and D SF is very necessary

• Jrue will not be traded unless an all
star caliber player is available

• JJ is a gift for this team but can be
traded if a younger future asset is
available

• Lonzo has potential but can be traded
if a more rounded asset becomes
available

• BI will get his money

• Josh Hart is a valuable part of our
team and I hope no teams try to steal
him if we make a trade

- league is moving away from traditional Centers. I'd rather an active "big" like Brandon Clarke. Undersized, but active..

- If you keep Holiday, he is the vet PG. That has to be the plan with so many other SGs. If we resign Hart, Holliday will play a lot at the one.

- a wing with size is necessary. We have really only one guy that fits the mold (Ingram). Everybody else is too small.

- this is a rebuild for the fate of the franchise. Everybody should be available to be moved.

- see above. But I wouldn't mind if Holiday and Redick found better spots for late career glory.

- Lonzo is Rubio 2.0. Going to be a solid NBA starter. Thats it. Accept it or just complain about how much better he should be.

- Ingram definitely gets paid. No doubt.

- I like Hart and we should resign. But he needs a defined role. Don't give him a big deal to waste away on the bench. He will probably take less money for more minutes and a potential starting spot somewhere else..

I can agree with these things. Everything else is very much up in the air and can go a bunch of different directions.

If you suggest we trade him for draft picks my head will explode. But really Jrue on our team or trading Jrue + draft picks both have higher value in my opinion than any trade offered for him without a star.

lol I kinda like that trade idea ATL came up with in another thread where we get Chris Paul and a bunch of picks essentially. You want a vocal leader who can teach these young players. It’s him. 2 years left on his huge arse contract but I can deal with two seasons of it.

He may be a good pick up. I also think we should maybe look at D Rose as well. I'd love Pat Beverly on this team with Jrue somehow but that's not likely.

I would add on as rim protector that can stretch the floor.

You don’t get all star quality players for someone like Jrue. He’s not even an all star. You get that for guys like AD. You get all potential type players that may develop Or draft picks for someone like Jrue

All star quality may change every year. I said all star caliber. Are you saying Jrue isn't an all star caliber player having been to an all star game and being a 2x 1st team defensive player?

Most teams need their key players + the all star to win. We already have BI and Zion to build on. Having Jrue is a luxury because I'm not sure there is a better player that is expendable to a team who needs to trade for a top player. That's a compliment to him btw, I would still love to keep him around if we can.

I'd define all-star caliber as a guy who can make an all-star team in the future. Based on the 7 year drought since his one appearance I wouldn't consider Jrue that. Is Boogie allstar caliber? Jeff Teague? Draymond? Blake Griffin? He made the team last year but if we traded for him I wouldn't be thinking, "ohhhh we got an allstar coming in".

Rim protection is more important than ability to stretch though. We are going to score points regardless.

Pretty much what I was gonna say. He never made an all star game as a Pel/hornet. And the one year he did make it, the East was horrible. Plenty guys that didn’t make it in the west would have made it over him that year. He a good player but you have to make the team every now and then to be all star caliber.

Id say Devin booker is all star caliber. He wasn’t picked on the original team.

Not true. Can be used to get first rounders or someone like Gary Harris who's on a negative contract plus more assets

I Agree. We need more rim protection (DEFENSE) than somebody who can shoot.

Gary Harris will not win us a championship.

Think about it.. If a team is trading their 3rd best player for Jrue how will that helps us in the future?

Jrue obviously would be the superior asset already. Trading him for a lesser asset is going backwards. We already have plenty of draft picks and the best asset in Jrue. We need to use those to get a top player or keep Jrue in the core.
