There is a chance we fall in the 8 spot in this draft. 3 way tie similarly to the lottery order back when we got Zion

That's fricking awesome. Damn I wish Sactown could've pulled out one of those two games vs Memphis.

How do they decide who picks where, when there is a 3 way tie?

I know if two teams are tied, they have a coin toss, but what about when three teams are tied?

they’ll do a mini ping pong lottery between all three teams. Each team with have the same amount of balls. First one to get picked is 8 and then so on for 9,10.

I think it’s multiple for each but I’m not 100% sure. By multiple I mean like 3-5

Are you sure there will be a mini lottery to determine the order of 8, 9 and 10? Because I've read more than one article now that says the three teams will equally split the odds, meaning all three have a 20.3% chance of landing top 4 and a 4.5% chance of landing number one overall.

LINK

I was sure if there was a two way tie, there was a coin flip. Maybe it's different for a three way tie? Or maybe these writers don't know the sport they cover.

Basing it off last season, a drawing is held before the lottery to break a 3 way tie.

the odds stays the same, I believe. it’s just used for draft order.

Correct.

The odds are the same for the lottery.

It just determines draft order should none of them move into the top 4.

May 25th is the day they’ll determine finalized pre lottery draft order.

Or we would not have messed up and beat Charlotte.

Teams that openly tank generally don’t win the lottery tbh. Not mad about any of the games we won. TBH if we wouldn’t have shite the bed against the Spurs, we would be in the play in right now lol.

Or if we wouldve properly closed the Warriors and Sixers game it would’ve set up a win and in scenario against the Lakers which means Ingram, Zo, etc probably wouldve been playing last night in a game that was essentially a quasi playoff game, which would have been good for their development and also help clarify their futures with the team.
