Westbrook was smart. Boogie grabbed the rebound and held his elbows up to clear defenders. Westbrook noticed that and ran at his elbows. Boogie could not resist and took the stupid move of moving his elbows to clear the area. My beef was that Westbrook fell to the floor as if he was killed. Not a single ref called for a concussion review. If he was hit as hard as he fell, he should have been removed from the game for concussion protocol (as he gave the appearance of it being a harder hit than AD absorbed against Denver).

You may be on to something here. I haven't seen someone mention weaponizing the concussion protocol as a means to combat flopping.

It doesn't matter. It only matters how it looks, and it looks intentional. Stop being such homers, Cousins isn't an angel.

Certainly not an angel and the flagrant was stupidity on his part. However, watching the games, I can see why he gets so frustrated. Holiday gets called for turning his back while Westbrook barely brushes against him. Cousins repeatedly gets shoved and beated when trying to shoot and was shoved into AD out of bounds by Westbrook (or was it George?) on a loose ball and the refs call the ball out on the Pels instead of the obvious loose ball foul. Not sure if it is ref bias based on his reputation or big man bias, but it is blatant. Unfortunately, Boogie has a problem holding his emotions.

It’s not just Boogie. The Thunder were grabbing AD the entire game, and they don’t call it. Anthony or George get touched on accident crossing the lane it’s a foul.

Last night was the first time in awhile I’ve seen Joel Meyers completely lose his composure and cry about officiating.

If they're going to beat AD up without getting called then AD needs to learn how to flop, or at least stumble a little.

. He deserved the ejection.

i'll accept my apology now.

so you see that 5 posters agree with you and the rest disagree, and you use that to prove youre assumption is right?

Lol come on man

All joking aside, it was a debatable flagrant 1 or 2 simply because of contact with Westbrook’s head and Westbrook did a good job selling it with the flop. I just don’t like how a smaller guy can get up in Boogies (or any big mans) grill like that. If you want to step up and be physical like Westbrook did, don’t be surprised if the physicality is reciprocated. You chose to play big right there so take your shots like it

I agree. Had it been a big man instead of Westbrook, there may not even had been a foul called.

IMO, he has been a very calm guy considering the ridiculous officiating he receives being the league’s best center and a superstar. I think if he was on a big market team, the Spurs, or Thunder he would get an obscene amount of calls in his favor.

Pretty sure OKC is the smallest (or at least bottom 3) in the NBA.

And if it had been a big instead of Westbrook he'd have hit him in the chest, not the head. Key difference.

I mentioned the Spurs and Thunder because I don’t think Gentry and Demps are respected enough around the league to get big market treatment from refs like the Spurs and Thunder do.

They're ejecting guys for doing what big men have been taught to do forever when little guys are swiping for steals after rebounds.

New Soft NBA. Melo got ejected for a far less blatant/ malicious 'elbow' than this one. Doesn't help that Westbrook wallowed around like he had been shot.

Same flop Russ pulled with Pachulia when he held his face & squirmed around on the floor like an acid attack victim. But I'm just here checking on future Lakers Cousins & George........

Boogie destroyed Marcus Smart. The funny part is no one came at Boogie to defend Smart. He had them skeered! Lol.
