Some of you talk about you would like to see Beal in a Pelican uniform. I think that he would be a upgrade to the team.
My question is what position does he play? I thought Jrue plays his best at the Shooting guard. But doesn't Beal play that position too? How would they Co exist on the court at the same time?

They would share ball handling responsibilities, neither one would be confined to a "position"

*starts the countdown till Crewz comes in here to tell you about bringing up "positions".

But they would coexist perfectly actually. Both can take turns handling the ball. Beal has become a very capable ball handler and distributor when he needs to be.

Why does it matter? Both can guard ball handlers and smaller wings, and on offense both can handle the ball

It might not matter if we trade him for Morant

They’ll compliment each other with spacing

A Jrue / Beal combo would catapult them into discussion for the top backcourt in the league, right alongside Steph/Klay(assuming he doesn't bolt for LA...), Harden/Paul (rapidly declining on bloated contract), and a notch above Dame/CJ when factoring in defensive impact.

We've seen how far the Warriors and Blazers have gotten by building their team around an elite back-court as the foundation. It would be a wise direction to go with.

Come to think of it, Jrue/Beal could be one of the top duos next season for any position, depending on which stars pair up in free agency. And the super cherry on top is that they're both locked in to great contracts for two seasons, allowing for more roster maneuverability with cap, and time to develop prospects to add a stellar supporting cast before the duo is due for bigger contracts.

I am just going to ask a couple of simple questions. If Beal is so great and elite backcourts are the way to go. Why would the Wiz break up the pairing of Wall and Beal? How is Holiday a better fit than Wall?

He has two functional legs?

So John Wall is done? What team initiates a rebuild when their star is going to miss most of a season? Or is Beal and Wall just not working, so they are getting a jump on the process?

Wall just stands around when he doesn’t have the ball in his hands. Jrue does not. To be most effective, Beal needs the ball more than he gets when he is on the court with Wall. Creates tension between those two on and off the court.

I think my dream scenario, second only to AD staying and us landing #1 with our own pick for Zion, is for AD to stay, us to land #2 to #4 in lotto and trading it with Hill's salary/filler to Washington for Beal this offseason.

Core 3 of AD/Jrue/Beal with all future picks in tact and still room to add a solid roll player this year (Thabo Sefolosha, Wilson Chandler, maybe outside chance at a Harrison Barnes if he can be had for an exception?)

I'm not trading Morant for Beal, and i don't think i'd even trade Barrett for Beal, although that's something i'd discuss.
And that's coming from someone who's a big fan of Bradley Beal and would love for him to be a Pel with Jrue.
