He's from L.A., so of course he would take half of AD's pay to go back home and play. At his prime he wasn't worth half of AD's contract in any city. STFU Baron. GFY

Barron Davis was one of the biggest a$$holes that ever came through here. He was a coach killer. Ask Tim Floyd.

list of priorities for NBA stars:

1. How close is team to nearest quality beach?
2. How is the nightclub scene?
3. How much can I make on local endorsements?
4. How much can I make on a shoe deal?
5. How much are you going to pay me?
6. What color are the uniforms?
..
..
..
7. Is the team any good?

Baron Davis had all the tools to be a consistent star in the NBA. Most will say injuries caught up, but I say it's cause ole boy got FAT!

Take Brodie for example. If that dude put on even 5 lbs to his frame, he'd be hurt all the time.

I don't like the guy, but are we really sitting here arguing that living rich in New Orleans is objectively better than living rich in L.A.?

I'm not sure why anyone is downvoting this. It's somewhat facetious but this is a league where stars demand trades out of competitive small market teams so they can waste away as the main attraction for the Knicks or the Nets instead.

Im gonna say it....im going there.

These guys wanna bitch about racism up and down but time and time again they hold their noses and run when they think they might have to live a city with 60% black folks and the cultures that brings with.

Rich black guys like to live like rich white guys while shitting on rich white guys.

It's not a question of LA vs. New Orleans.

The question, as posited by Barren, is LA + $125M vs New Orleans + $250M. Sorry, I'm taking the money and buying a vacation house in LA for a fraction of it. It's a stupid take by a stupid person.

My whole thing is you have the offseason to do whatever you want. Live wherever you want.

I guess there is appeal to being in the best city possible during the season as well, but honestly you are going to be spending much of that time traveling and doing team activities anyways.

It's weird how unlike the NFL, where you lay your head for 6 months and can occasionally hit up the clubs during that period when not on the road or on a back to back/practice day has become so anchoring to the mindset and decision-making of players in this sport.

I know endorsements play a role but as we see with guys like Durant and Westbrook in OKC, you can still make plenty of money.

That's cool BD. I'll take 1 Jrue Holiday before I'd take 5 Baron Davis'. That's just life I guess.
