Ballysports+ has been such a disappointment

Im still going to pay the $20 a month because I have youtubeTV, but staying at families house tonight for thanksgiving and Im just finding out that I cant access Ballysports app on my phone because im in a different zip code than my home address. What in the sweet frick.

That’s insane, I use the Bally Sports app on my phone when I’m out of state with no issue, could be because I sign in with my DirectTV log in?

I signed out and signed back in and its working now. Idk wtf is going on, but here is proof of what I dealt with during pregame.

Thats a fair point, but they are charging more for Bally than what I pay for Netflix. I expect some level of competence.

That’s weird, I split a Bally’s sub with someone who lives in a different zip code and we haven’t had any issues.

Zero issues yet this season. Watching on my iPad in north Mississippi right now, usually in Baton Rouge. Didn’t catch any flak about zip code

If you are out of the Pelicans designated viewing area, then the app probably does not work because Bally's New Orleans doesn't have the rights there; NBA League Pass does. Bally's only holds the rights in whatever is the pelicans designated zone.

Just my info, every problem I've had with the app has been solved by force quiting, clearing the cache, and restarting.

I gave it a try but canceled. I couldn’t take the idea of paying twice as much as I do for ESPN+ for subpar streaming.

Yeah, I’m just messing with you. I’ve had the same problem. I was out of town and tried to watch a game, and it blacked me out too. Plus it kicks me off like 3 times a game

try going to your phone location settings and block the app from accessing location

I got the same message when I went to Houston to visit family for the holidays. I just x'ed out of it and hit play. I took it as a warning that if I continued to be out of area they would limit me but it didn't actually keep me from streaming the game.

I have the App, technically it works but man it’s below par. The sound will randomly screw up and the video gets ahead of the sound. Also, the video gets really dark sometimes, like I feel like my TV is going out but nope it’s the shite Ballys app.
Also, they struggle to sell advertising, so you get the same 4-5 commercials THE ENTIRE GAME. By the 2nd quarter I got all the jingles and catch phrases memorized. Ballys is a good app if you want to prove how much of a fan you are cause the app will drive you crazy.
