“It’s been really slow,” Donovan said Wednesday before the team’s 132-113 loss to the Phoenix Suns, who got 51 points in three quarters from Devin Booker. “It’s gotten better, but is he clearly without any pain? No, he’s not. He still has pain. We’re seeing the slow, gradual strides getting better, but I just don’t have any timetable of when he could even be back.”

Doesn't look like he's going to be back this season at this rate. Chicago tampered to get him and now they are going to have to live with that albatross contract.

Sucks for Lonzo, he was a great guy for the team. I think Dyson will be better.

His career is borderline over.

As a starter for sure. He might hang around for a few years.

Seems like a Brandon Roy situation.

Bullet dodged.

He looked great with them last season before the injury, but that contract is now a major liability for them.

Wish we had gotten an asset for him, but not giving him the extension is proving to be huge. Right now there really isn’t a bad contract in the roster - although I wish CJ’s deal was a year shorter.

I feel bad for Lonzo. Guy gets a lot of hate league wide but he definitely put in work to improve his game over his nba career. Hope he can resume that growth.

It's pretty crazy

Our worst contract is Jax, and that's $6mil and basically expiring. Pretty impressive.

In griffin’s case it’s better to be good (declining Lonzo) and lucky (missing Lowry)

Never want to see a guy’s career in jeopardy but I sure glad we didn’t sign him to a new contract.

We did, the sign and trade ultimately landed us CJ and Larry. Without the sign and trade we worked for Lonzo we don’t get them.

Lonzo was a good guy and quiet for being a Ball. Sucks to see his career is over but glad we're not stuck with that contract.

I was fine with Lonzo until Klutch. That’s the sign of a weak minded player.
