Seems like the SS Pelican may be on a one-way ticket to the Isle of Mediocrity. Captain Monty Williams has done everything short of jumping off the deck. The cruise line's customers are starting to get really upset. Will we see a riot if we lose at home on the 27th against the Nuggets? Time loves a hero.

It's too late to jump anywhere else but to an assistant coach already on our staff.

Going 0-5 or 1-4 on a West Coast road trip where all but 1 team are ahead of you in the standings is not the end of the season. The team does need to take care of business at home though.

I don't think Monty is going anywhere this season and Demps probably doesn't have the authority to do a long term deal with any new coaches anyway. If Benson wants to change things up, that is where he will start. Monty will go shorty after..

The sooner PelsNation rises up to voice their displeasure with this fool, the better. We are all guilty of being too passive on the subject, especially people like myself and others who are STH's that post on here constantly bitching, but never doing anything about it. We are the platform, and we are failing.

I think were doing well for our situation. The NBA overall lacks parity abd while we can strive for championships I'm not sure if it'll happen anytime soon. Its just so hard as not a big-market team. I think we need to make a trade and get a C or SF who really fits us and then get a new coach who can play to our style and see what we can do for a few years while AD is here.

I rarely get narrow minded on coaches but I really think he's the guy.

Karl is already on record that he doesn't want to coach a team this early into the season. Well, he said ideally. So then, tell me genius, who else we gonna get? Avery Johnson?

I say we do like every other fan base on this website and say that we are getting Nick Saban or Phil Jackson.

Pelitard: Think about it, Benson would let Phil coach home games and somebody else coach away games. And Phil would love New Orleans. Totally his kind of town. Do it Demps!

We no doubt wait till the end of the year. No reason to fire and hire at this point in the season.

Seriously though..this franchise almost fell apart and moved away. Now you want to cut off the head? Firing Monty will only make the situation worse in my opinion.

What's worse than back to back lottery appearances?

And if you come back at me with the "rebuilding" argument I'm gonna
