One thing that an AD and Zion frontcourt could bring is some FA shooters.

Not necessarily as they have Mike Conley who is very good.
Still, they could possibly take him if they wish to move on from him as he is a little long in the tooth.

They chose Conley over Gasol, so I'm sure he's likely to stay. They need more bigs imo. It's very possible that Ja is there to team up with his AAU buddy Zion once again.

Could possibly fall. The perfect scenario would have been for the knicks or lakers to get the second pick, but I’m content with what happened tonight. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for the Pels

Unfortunately for us, unless your coworker works for Memphis as a side gig and is in charge of deciding who they pick, I dont really think Memphis is passing on Ja with Conleys injury history.

IF getting Kyrie or KD is dependent on landing AD, I could see something like this.
RJ, DSJ, Mitchell, future first for #3.
Morant/Knox/Trier/Kornet or Vonleh/Future firsts at the Pels.
I’m not aure I like that much more than a Tatum/Brown/picks package, but I think it has potential. Not high on the players past Morant. I wish we could swap Knox and Mitchell in those scenarios but there’s no way Memphis would want Knox with RJ and JJJ.
