I’m surprised that the board has turned on AD. It seemed that the consensus for some time has been that he would leave eventually.
I have no ill will toward him, even though I don’t like superstars recruiting superstars.

You're smarter than that.

No blame the damn pelicans for once again not being able to build a competent team around an amazing talent. First Paul and now Davis. Look at this team they put together - pathetic

About as pathetic as kingfish's life. Dang, I got sucked in, I've been pretty nice lately. Shame on me.

And how's CP3 worked out on the Clippers and Rockets?
Posted on 2/9/19 at 10:24 am to kingfish225
where did ya learn all of that from little buddy? the casual fans of other teams or the media?

Because Jrue, Boogie, Niko, and Randle are bullshite. Man, GTFOH. This narrative is weak. A hell of a lot less talented teams with a much more capable leader have accomplished more. Look what we did with an aging Rondo.

They amassed talent certainly but they never amassed cohesive talent (last years playoff run not withstanding)
Injuries were the major culprit for lack of success. Also AD never really was an alpha but also Jrue didn’t come into his own until last season and we didn’t have that floor general (no offense to Jrue) outside of Rondo that could get the most of the entire team.
So many factors

It depends on how you define success for LA and Houston. Have either won a championship? No. But they both have had sustained playoff success. I think when those franchises look back at his tenures they’ll be pleased

I'm just saying that CP3 hasn't done THAT much better on teams with more talent than the pels
1 conference title appearance between both
1 conference title appearance between both

True. But he’s gotten their consistently is the point. It’s all easier for guards to alter the fate of franchises like that because they control more of the game. Outside of Rondo AD has never had a floor general that can create like that. Jrue is an off ball attacker and is solid in the PNR but that can only get you so far

Scott Kushner Scott Kushner @ScottDKushner AD also said the “outside noise” doesn’t bother him at all and included “twitter rants”, right before separately staring down @WillGuillory and myself.
After seeing the video it was less of a intimidating stare down and was more jokey "ya'll know who I'm talking about" type thing. Even the media laughed. Whole thing is just weird.

The organization pushed us toward this situation, but AD has undeniably made it more toxic, harmful, and egregious than it ever needed to be. And his motivations have been revealed to be far less pure and noble than many of us projected when we made those sorts of arguments.
So I think there is justifiable reasons to be angry at both situations and both camps involved in this.

The immediate response to him asking for a trade was "I don't blame him" but everything he did after was a slap in the face to the organization and the fans. It's OK to want out, it shouldn't be OK to try to decrease your value around the league and limit the return your team gets

This personality transformation is exactly what we saw happen to Chris Paul over time. I said it then. I’ll say it now. It’s obvious the influence Lebron has on these guys. Once might have been a fluke. Twice isn’t.

It basically says to me he has an entitled mindset with no respect for the fans or community that aren’t automatically groveling at his feet.
Wow, I don't see that with AD.
