I never had any hype to begin with. It's why I let go of my season tickets and never looked back.

I put the exact thing yesterday and got 1000 down votes lol team just has no direction. Our best two players play the same position that would excel with shooters around them, which we don't have. Also we have a coach that lacks to put an emphasis on D. I hope I'm 100% wrong, I'll still root/watch but it's just my $.02

This team was built like a 3 year old with Legos

No matching pieces or parts. Been that way since the day CP3 walked out the door

I'm with you, this shite is just depressing... we all know that leaving is inevitable and anyone that doesn't think that is just fooling themselves

Demps has no concept of building a team. It changes from year to year. The pelicans biggest mistake was hiring an inexperienced GM.

Outside of last year, we have had playoff teams on paper. Gentry is a big problem.

Well...I was a little excited until we lost 2 starters before the season even started.

Frick it.

Thank the Lord I found some sane posters. This board has been a wasteland of idiotic and reactionary messages tonight.

Was there any real hype for this season? Most of us know AD and boogie aren’t enough with Gentry as coach. With the west as stacked as it is, we will be lucky to be an 8 seed

The NBA is ruled by a handful of power teams. The best track for a team like NO is to tank for a year or two and try to build something special, but football fans don't have any patience for any of that and Gentry isn't the guy to build through.

Pels fans have to be the most emo fans in the NBA. We can't even give our team five games before we decide they're lottery bound.

Get a hold of yourself, PT. It's one freaking game.

A lot of you guys may be right and we might suck, but God damn it's been one fricking games. Can we at least play a month of the season before we go out and panic?

The o/u was 39 vegas.
I had 33.

I suppose before hill and rondo out, playoffs were possible.
Not likely now.

Meh......will be a different team when Rondo is back.
Regardless of how they finish, I have no regrets for buying season tickets again. AD and Boogie are worth the price of admission, and fewer decent guys around them forces them to score even more. And losing irritates Boogie, so the technicals will be fun to watch.

Who’s leaving what? If people are talking about the franchise, it’s highly unlikely that the Association, with Stern’s protege in charge, allows a relocation from N. O.
