I was looking at this guy highlights and reading about his draft status, I believe if we traded down a few spots this guy would be a great pick and fit for the Pels.
He is a 7 footer with great range on his shot, great passer and ball handler for his size. He is only 19 years old and has been playing professionally for 3 years.
His down side is his weight very thin and will be a while before fills out and have a nba body.
I would take a flyer on him and try and get another big man through free agency.

That isn't generally how it works. If you want him, take him.

And I've seen plenty, PLENTY of recent speculation that he will be a lottery pick.

We've talked about him a little on here.

The sky is the limit, he has a lot of tools. His ceiling might be the highest in this draft. But he is playing against rec league competition. Seriously. Its total trash competition.

Hopefully if he's a draft and stash, he will go to a higher level of competition before going to the NBA.

Yea I’d be surprised if they drafted in the lottery to stash in this draft.

Poku is perfect if nobody else in that range stands out. He needs to be a draft and stash so it's like converting a 2020 draft 1st into a 2022 1st. That's good for the war chest.

You’re assuming his value will still be high at that point. A lot of euros lose value as they age because they get exposed or don’t show the type of development people expect. For every Doncic, you have 20 Dragan Benders.

Bender declined in value because he played in the NBA and got exposed as not being good enough. Poku is still another potential Tony Kukoc as long as he keeps playing well in Europe.

We'll keep the one who is the better fit and trade the other. Seriously, unless we go all in with a blockbuster trade this offseason to get a third star, then we will likely do so next year, and we'll have to part with multiple young, talented players to do so.

We aren't going to the Finals next season. It's another good year to accumulate talent.

I think part of the strategy going forward is UPSIDE.

They want to keep filling that war chest with future assets, and if you keep shooting for the stars with guys, and you hit on one, then you have 3 stars in Zion/BI/Random guy.

If a guy like Poku moves up to tougher competition and does well, his value will actually increase quite a bit.

Have you guys seen Poku's highlight reel? The level of comp he is playing is too goddamn funny.

Kinda like Dario Saric looking super awesome in Europe? I would be extremely weary of some of these euro projects.

Everyone is weary of Euro prospects. You never know how these guys are going to translate.

But the same could be said about American prospects.

the fact is that like 70% of the 1st round will be bums

Saric also had a solid start in Philly and they were able to package him for Jimmy Butler.

I just think its time for us to find a big men who can shoot the lights out and open things up for BI and Zion.
I look at Portland and Dallas with envy, because of the way their big men can stretch the floor and create space.

You’ll be waiting like 5 years for this kid to come over. Kid is going to need some serious work on his body to go along with his development. And this is why he is going to drop. If we trade down and acquire a player or more picks, I wouldn’t have an issue, but as a lottery pick, I wouldn’t touch him. Team isn’t deep enough to be making that type of pick with a lottery selection.

Wasserman suggested today that scouts had him in 2nd round or falling to late 1st.

Yeah, from the videos I've watched, I just don't see a lottery pick. The highlights of his ability to go end-to-end usually resulted in a missed layup. As a 7-footer playing in YMCAs, that's not good. Even several of his made shots I saw kind of clanked in. Not exactly the euro sharpshooter that typically makes a difference
