One potential benefit of this, he makes the 5th man down. The hardship exception allows you to temporarily sign someone. So if they sign someone, as soon as Rondo is back the guy you signed has to be cut. Ajnica makes 5 Pels out, you only need 4 for the exception, so you can keep whoever you sign after Rondo returns now.

I don’t think it’s possible unless we can waive someone and gain space. I think we are about 800k from the lux

If they need a 5-7 middle aged guy to suit up at C tonight, I can give it a run.

I'll be at the game anyway.

We don't have enough money to add another full season minimum but you could carry someone for a few months. I'd do what NoFox suggested: Cut Crawford, sign Nelson for the year, and resign Crawford with the Hardship Exception. You could probably keep him around until Januaryish but I'd be done with Crawford not long after Rondo got back. Keep some spare change in reserve in case you need to sign a big later due to injury.

Seriously... is there something wrong with the floor or something? I've never seen a team have so many injuries year after year.

It seems statistically unlikely that a team would randomly be affected by injuries so much.

What makes it crazier... we are talking about basketball. I understand injuries happen, but it shouldn’t be this frequently, and all on one team.

This place is cursed. CP3 has never been able to shake the injury voodoo even after he left.

There are fears that Chris Paul's knee problem could sideline him for a month in Houston, according to league sources

Really think we're cursed for not naming the team voodoo

Injuries have totally decimated us throughout our existence in New Orleans

This season the Hill injury caused so many dominos to fall. We had to trade Qpon because we needed bodies on the floor and it was too risky to rely on him. So we trade him to basically sign Cunningham & TA. Rondo gets hurt and it totally messes up our offensive gameplay having Jrue focus on scoring.

We go from:
Rondo/Moore/FJ
Jrue/Clark/Crawford
Hill/QPon/Miller
AD/Diallo (probably don't have enough money for Cunningham)
Cousins/Ajinca/Asik

to:
Moore/Crawford
Jrue/Clark/TA
Cunningham/Miller
AD/Diallo
Cousins

w/Hill, Rondo, Asik, Ajinca, and FJ all injured

that first roster is competing for the 6th seed at least. that second roster is fighting for 10th.

And you have to go full year for a guy like Jameer. Houston is now looking for a temp.

Sources: Houston's been on phones today, feeling out agents on available point guards for possible 2-to-4 week stretch without Chris Paul.

If you were offered a temp gig with the Pels or the Rockets and thought your next job might depend on how well your new teammates scored off of your passes...
