Damage control

Exactly. Realizing that the pels and the celtics are going to have talks whether he likes it or not. Just trying to save face for his most likely next destination.

Not our problem especially once he goes to Boston.

I wouldn’t say it has blown up in Lebrons face yet, hopefully Boston thinks they can resign him this summer. Because if they start to think AD will be a rental at best we have no leverage and the Lakers won’t offer the whole package they offered weeks ago.

The Laker homers are trying to spin this as just being a PR move and that he won’t re-up with any team who trades for him.

Of course, desperation at watching Magic’s hard sell fail miserably is setting in.

It very well could be a PR move because right now AD looks really bad after his 3 point performance and then pretty much quitting last game. Maybe it’s because I follow college football recruiting, but I’m going to be cautiously optimistic until Davis is traded. We’re dealing with Magic, Lebron and definitely Rich Paul being in his ear for probably a year now. Not the most ethical bunch.

I think people are focusing on the wrong teams. Everybody keeps talking about NY, LA and Boston. But there are other teams with more to gain that are going to jump into these talks and will have better packages. The Nuggets have already offered a package that included Harris/Porter Jr and picks. What if they swap out Harris and include Murray? Or what about when the Blazers come with a package that includes McCollum?

Then you should know that the player is usually full of shite when talking to the media.
