Boogie doesn't seem to hate him like he did Paul Westphal, Keith Smart, Mike Malone, Tyrone Corbin, George Karl, OR Dave Joerger. Yes, Boogie has had 7 coaches in 7 years and most of them did not fair well.
For now, the friction of previous "attitude" issues off the court seems to have remained on the court.
Let Boogie be Boogie.

He seems to be playing hard and listening to his coach for once (not all to AG's credit, having an awesome teammate in AD and friend in Rondo helps).

He's in a contract year. He's on his best behavior.

Damn I'd hate see him when he signs for 5 years.

Boogie has played hard, regardless of what a couple of numbnits have said from time to time. I think all of the players like Gentry well enough. I guess that means something.

He isn’t going to get fired during the season but he is no doubt coaching for the future. This team misses the playoffs and he is done and if they barely make it he could get the Monty treatment. I like Gentry as a person but he is just not a very good head coach.

He's always been the same player, regardless of contract year

he doesn't seem like the type of player to just mail it in

Not to rail on Boogie, but it seems the standard for what "playing hard" actually is gets lowered on this board when talking about him.

E'twaun Moore is a guy that plays hard. I don't think Cousins comes very close.

it is not certain that he would want to sign for five years

best case for all might be 2+1
after two years he will get bigger max. from Pels or from the other team
of course it is a risk for him - it is a lot guaranteed money
but he is still relatively young

If you watch Boogie carefully, he hustles consistently unless he’s totally gassed.

I agree that E’taun plays hard all the time.

Mike Malone

Boogie really liked Mike Malone and was pissed when they canned him. There's a documented bromance there.

But, I'm pretty sure he hated everyone else like you stated...

I'm still trying to figure out the dynamic here. AD definitely can help calm him down. For once, there's an equal in talent on Boogie's teams who he not only respects, but is very close to. I can't see Davis calling Boogie out on his BS like that stupid foul before halftime vs. MIL. Davis does look less interested in playing "Boogie Police" as the season has gone on. He'll step in if it's getting ridiculous, but he seems to care much less about the night to night tirades. I suppose we will see much more of him intervening as Boogie gets closer to suspension Ts.

I actually kind of don't mind them letting him act like a child and picking up techs instead of babying him.

ETA: Oddly enough, Malone credits not babying Cousins as the biggest reason they got along so well. Cousins respected the fact that he told it like it was and listened.

All the fire Gentry stuff is nonsense. The only chance Gentry would have been fired is if we completely tanked out the gate and were already looking out of the playoffs heading into the New Year.

We are in the playoff hunt despite injuries with only 1 bad loss. Gentry will finish the season as the coach and rightfully so. Firing Gentry doesn't add wins this season regardless of the coach that would replace him.

Because gentry let's him bring the ball up and jack up 3's. Boogie is not a winner and I honestly believe he is so selfish a player he rather have a great state line in a a loss the a bad stat line in a win. It's a shame because he's so talented, but he has no ideaon how to put the team in front on the individual.
