If you look at the roster the Lakers had 6 years ago, they were sending out Kobe, Steve Nash, Pau Gasol, Kent Bazemore and Jordan Hill.

We know in those out years, they will be without LeBron and outside of Lebron and Davis, huge stars have avoided the Lakers since the Dwight Howard fiasco.

I like our odds that those 2023 - 2025 picks are going to be lottery picks.

I love the saying I heard from someone on here:

"We are the 76ers, but we skipped the process"

I said in another thread we should be able to do in 2 years what took Philadelphia 5 years to do

and seriously... the Lakers mortgaged a decade of their franchise for a 2 year opportunity with 1 star in his prime, 1 star getting to the end, and a who's that of end of the bench contracts

ETA: meanwhile... if played right... the Pelicans will be a constant member of the playoffs (including several deep runs) during the next 10 years

What the Pels have done this off-season is nothing less than remarkable.

Im looking forward to the draft/trades and free agency.

I agree, the outcome will determine the future of the franchise for the foreseeable future.

I’m trusting Griffin to make the right moves.
