By the way, with this win, 538 now gives us a 60% chance of making the playoffs.

Updated the title and OP. Will try my best to keep it current. Today was a positive performance and can’t wait to see what Wednesday brings.

The Blazers are going to be without McCollum today against the Warriors, and their teams has apparently been struggling with a bug of some kind -- half the team has been sick in the last week or so.

Again, they are our biggest threat. It would be great if the Dubs could pull an upset tonight.

This is a bit random, but WTF is going on with the Rockets? They've lost four in a row now, including the last three at home. I cracked up seeing that Harden shot 1 for 17 from 3 today.

I think 35 is far more likely than 39 or 40

Here's why you're wrong:

* We have 38 games left to play

* Of those 38, 25 of them are against teams that currently have a losing record

* So, if we were a perfectly average team, we'd probably win 25 more games and finish with 42 wins for a final record of 42-40.

* We aren't an average team. With Zion, we are a top-10 team in the league.

* Thus, we will win more than 42 games.

This analysis does not take into consideration the likelihood that Griffin makes a trade to improve the team.

Here's another fun fact that reinforces why this team is now highly likely to make the playoffs:

* Of our final 38 games, 21 of them are at home and only 17 are on the road.

I think we are potentially a top 10 team, but that also assumes

1. Favors suddenly gets healthy
2. Zion meshes seamlessly with the rest of the team
3. Nobody else gets hurt

We should expect some growing pains. I’m okay with this. Playoffs would be awesome, but building a strong core with good chemistry is the real goal.

How long is Favors projected to be out now? Was hoping we’d get to see Favors, Zion, Ingram, Jrue and Lonzo all on the court together Wednesday.

Only if Zion lives up to his hype from the preseason and plays like that. Only then are we a top 10 team in the NBA. If we have a full year of him playing next year at a high level, and everyone else plays like they are now, we’ll be a 4-5 seed in the West.
