Among other things when Demps looks back after he's fired he'll probably think that Holiday contract was the nail in the coffin.

It is definitely not one game. He showed in many instances last season why he wasn't worth even half of that 126 million

Jrue is garbage but he's the least of our worries. This team has nothing besides two great bigs and once they get frustrated and check out the whole thing is going to blow up. Does anyone think they didn't notice the shite preseason and the carryover to the first game? I don't want to think it but pellies are in trouble.

I don't blame Jrue, I blame Dell Demps. Jrue has shown time and time again that he isn't a true point guard and he will turn the ball over again. Justin actually looks alot better. How do you let a rookie give you the business on opening night after signing a huge contact? Demps should have let Jrue walk. You have two players capable of giving you 20 and 10 on a regular basis and you can't get a wing that will shoot and defend. Gentry has the right offensive system in place for today's NBA, but he has no clue on how to play defense which has haunted him throughout his coaching career. Furthermore he doesn't have the shooting to compliment his system. That falls on Demps. Demps continues to sign G league players to fill roster spots while the other teams are signing decent NBA players. Rondo was a good signing but he won't fit in Gentry's system because he can't shoot. Demps has sabatoged our home team long enough and it's time to go. I know this is nothing new on this board, but enough is enough. Demps needs to go now and the new GM can deal witb the coach in the offseason. I'm tired of seeing this piss poor product on the court. I can't even watch my own home team anymore because it's too frustrating. Thank you board for letting me vent.

Let me remind you all of some fun stats about Jrue last year, and you let me know if he's not important to this team.
Jrue needs to be an 18ppg SG for us to be a playoff team. If he can't do that, this year is going to suck.
He's been moved into a possession where that's what they are asking him to do, score the basketball. Don't worry about distributing to others, or getting this guy going, just score when given the opportunity.
Jrue played 39 minutes last night. Scored 4 points on 11 shots.
73 players played 30+ minutes in their first game last night or Tuesday.
Here's who scored less than 10 points:
Rubio 9 (10 assists)
Yogi Ferrell 9 (sucked it up watching Dennis Smith look good)
Wilson Chandler 9 (sucked it up)
Nikola Jokic 7 (and 12 rebounds and 8 assists)
Trevor Ariza 2 & 8 (sucked it up)
Garrett Temple 5 (still finished with a +1)
Stanley Johnson 2 (sucked it up, finished 0-13)
None of those guys make $25M/yr for the next 5 years.

This is absolutely false. Eating up $25M in cap space makes him a real fricking big worry. One of the reasons why we have so little around them is that we have a quarter of the cap tied up in a second-tier combo guard.
