I'm tempted to listen to this track but I'm gonna wait for the album. I still haven't listened to the new songs they're playing live.

Bring on August 30

Might have to put a new mortgage on your house to buy a physical copy of the new album.

You got a source? I’d rather wait and get that if it’s true.

Every other Tool album is on vinyl, and several hundred thousand copies of a 90 minute album take a long arse time to press.. good enough source?

Point me to where 10,000 days can be found on vinyl please.

How do other artists that sell lots of vinyl do it then? Keep in mind, not everyone (and probably the minority of people) that buys the album will buy vinyl version.

Seriously? All the ones in that link are bootleg. They may have made a few promo vinyls, but it wasn't released to the public. That's the point.

Physical Version of New TOOL Album To Come with HD Screen, Built-In Speaker

We are all caught up in TOOL-Mania today, with the release of their first single in 13 years, "Fear Inoculum." But lost in the hoopla, is that Tool also began accepting pre-orders for the new album. With the pre-orders, came information on the physical release.

And, holy cow. Guitarist Adam Jones, who is typically in charge of the physical product really went all out this time. The official press release explains that the album comes with a built-in four-inch rechargeable HD screen, with built-in two watt speaker:

Tool has created a deluxe, limited-edition CD version of Fear Inoculum. The collectible offering, which was conceived by and directed by bands guitarist Adam Jones. The CD edition features a 4” HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, charging cable, 2 watt speaker, a 36-page booklet and a digital download card.

Interestingly, the CD version of the album is only 79 minutes, while the digital download is 89 minutes. What are the extra 10 minutes?

The band has said the new album is seven tracks with two interludes. Could the two interludes be 10 minutes long?

10 mins extra digital? Here's hoping to an extra song

Not bootlegs, they have catalogue numbers.. the last official release of Aenima on vinyl was in 1996... the point is, may need to have some patience

Fear Inoculum Lyrics:

quote:

Fear Inoculum - 10:21 long

Immunity long overdue
Contagion I exhale you
Lying I opened up to you
Venom in media

Now, contagion I exhale you

The deceiver he says you belong to me
You don’t want to breathe the light of the others
Fear the light
Fear the breathe
Fear the others for eternity
But I hear them now inhale the clarity
Hear the venom, the venom in what you say — inoculated
Bless this immunity
Bless this immunity
Bless this immunity

Exhale, expel
Recast my tale
Weave my allegorical elegy

Enumerate
All that I’m to do
Calculating steps away from you
My own mitosis
Growing through delusion from media

Exhale, expel
Recast my tale with my allegorical elegy

Forfeit all control
You poison
You spectacle Exorcise the spectacle
Exorcise the malady
Exorcise the disparate
Poison for eternity
Purge me and evacuate
The venom and the fear that binds me

Unveil now
Lift away
I see you running
Deceiver chased away
A long time coming

Sounds like it could be “Venom in media” and “delusion from media” instead of “mania.” That seems to fit with what he was telling joe rogen

I know I'm shite posting at this point, but holy crap, do yourself a favor and listen to this on over ear headphones..
It's a totally different experience

It's crazy to think about the journey, in 2006, the last new TOOL material I was a single guy playing in a band touring the gulf south with Dax Riggs.

Now Im a married dude with 3 kids jamming to Fear Inoculum in a minivan, I've been through a shitton since then as I'm sure most fans have

Basically talking junior in high school to being 8 years deep into my career. It's wild to think about. I listened to 10,000 days in the best buy parking lot at 3pm after school

Danny is a wizard on the toms in this one. No real strong riffs from Adam. Parts of it keep reminding me of H. The opening sounds like Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Overall, a solid Tool sound. Very complex rhythms. Would listen again.
