I'm half way through season 2. I always root for Joe/Will even though he's a psycho.

Are you rooting for him to get better (since he's self-aware and trying to improve), or to get away with his crimes?

Like the show but how do you go from Beck to Love?
Love is below average to average looking at best.
beck was carrying a wagon

She definitely isn't as hot as Beck, but she's cute. I'm biased because I really liked her in Haunting Of Hill House.
Fact: In HoHH, she played the twin of an brother that was an addict, and she also was widowed at a very young age.

Season 1 was ok. Had it’s moments. I only got two episodes into season 2 and quit. Just lost interest in the whole story.

Suspension of disbelief:
What's harder to swallow- Joe getting his little finger tip put back on, and the situation is treated like he went to get stitches. He's back in like an hour, and then working with that hand again immediately. Microsurgery. I don't think so.
Or:
How in the hell did he build a box in the storage facility without anyone knowing? How much money would you even need- $20,000? How did the materials get delivered? Ugh...

Well, maybe not as odd as losing a finger and deciding that stalking your girlfriend was a better option than seeking a way to get the finger back. Of course, he did retrieve the finger and had it reattached by a world-class microsurgeon in an hour or two, leaving him time to meet the girlfriend for dinner with a minimal bandage that looked like he got it from Walgreens
Yea, this was so bad that I nearly stopped watching right there. He had no money and yet he somehow manages to get his finger reattached and, made it back for dinner.

It's a fun watch but the show is not credible in the least.
You're right. I don't mind incredible moments in shows. This is how they establish viewership. However, as in the case of the finger, when you realize that the writers had to completely discount the intelligence of the viewing audience, I do, like you, tend to notice.

Team Joe! He gave everything for Beck and it still wasn't enough.

When speaking on lack of credibility, why does nobody mention the idea he can afford to move from NY to LA and rent an apartment by himself while simply working at a grocery store?

or even better, beck’s spacious ground level home she was living in while going to school in season 1. that’s $3,500 a month AT LEAST

Season 1 was fun. I find Season 2 is a chore to get through. The new cast is a bore and they keep making a conscious effort to let the audience know how awful California is. We get it...gluten-free is for pussies.

In the first episode she said something about losing her apartment if she wasn't full time. Like the school was providing the apartment or something like that.
Watching the second episode now, and she said her advisor can affect her status as a TA and she could lose her housing.

ah shite i do remember that now. not completely far fetched but still a little unrealistic as I don’t think NYU handing out homes that nice for their students lol
Posted on 1/22/20 at 6:17 pm to NorthTxLSU
No doubt. And it doesn't take anything away from some of the other unrealistic things. I mean, the simple fact of how much time he spends standing across the street and following her around are a bit much. But whatever.

and doesn’t catch him, not even once lol. i guess if it were too realistic it wouldn’t be as entertaining.

Get away with his crimes!

Just finished Season 2. Enjoyed Season 1 a lot more. He and Love just had very little chemistry. It was like they forced that relationship on the audience. I liked him much better with Delilah (smokeshow)

Agreed, Delilah was easy on the eyes. Plus, she was cynical enough to appeal to Joe's inner white knight.
Even before the big reveal, Love was a trainwreck.
Midseason Forty was pretty epic, though.

Yes- I'd watch a weekly show starring Forty

Just finished season 2. I think I liked it more than season 1. Just more going on. Neither season was perfect, but at the end of every episode I was very ready to watch the next one.
I kinda needed to finish season two because I usually do some work at night and I kept watching this show. I can get back to working now.
