I think there is a post about this show. It starts light-hearted but goes down from there. I had to stop.

If I was a basic female in her 20s I would probably have liked it. I couldn't take the guys voice in his head. It bothered the shite out of me for some reason.

Wife and I just finished it yesterday. We enjoyed it. As mentioned, season 2 was even better than 1.

Just finished Season 1
It's funny how I've taken every murder in stride, but I was mad at Beck for what she did in Episode 9.

Joe's VO throughout both seasons is masterful. The voice performance is what sells the show.

Yeah he nails it. Inflection, pace, etc. It's simultaneously caring yet creepy.

This show is the closest thing to the first four seasons of Dexter.

In fact, there is a verbal nod to Dexter in Season 2.

The oddest thing is how easily he transports bodies around in cities covered with cameras.

Well, maybe not as odd as losing a finger and deciding that stalking your girlfriend was a better option than seeking a way to get the finger back. Of course, he did retrieve the finger and had it reattached by a world-class microsurgeon in an hour or two, leaving him time to meet the girlfriend for dinner with a minimal bandage that looked like he got it from Walgreens.

It's a fun watch but the show is not credible in the least.

This is like the people who complain about crime shows and how the cops always show up at the right time.

Of course they do, that's what makes a TV show.

It's also completely unrealistic that he has a storage unit the size of a warehouse he keeps his victims in with no one noticing.

If you make a show just like real life it won't work.

Probably 90% of movies and tv shows are not credible. Impossible car chases, CSI police station technology, guns that never run out of ammo.......

My favorite part of the show is that if you just listen to the VO, you'd think that Joe is the most thoughtful, romantic guy ever to walk the face of the earth.

It's the juxtaposition of his internal monologue with what he actually does and carries out that makes it so creepy.

Yes. The whole time I was watching, I kept thinking this is how a psychopath/sociopath thinks and works!

I think it's absolutely great at what it does. Very self aware and entertaining.

Season 2 is pretty good, but I had difficulty getting into season 1. If it weren't for my girlfriend, I doubt I would have made it to season 2.

Season 1 was largely produced by the Lifetime Network, which makes a lot of sense. It's very much a chick season

Like the show but how do you go from Beck to Love?

Love is below average to average looking at best.
