It is officially official. Disney will reboot the franchise within the confines of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. No doubt they will play a vital role in what comes next in the aftermath of the Infinity saga.

Disney's CinemaCon presentation made it very clear that Fox's roster of Marvel characters are now firmly part of the Mouse House, as the likes of Wolverine and Deadpool featured in the opening sizzle reel. We also got a look at Disney's full 2019 theatrical slate, and both Dark Phoenix and New Mutants are part of it.
Although plans could change, this obviously suggests that Josh Boone's teen X-Men movie will indeed make it to the big screen, despite numerous rumors to the contrary.
In addition, Disney chief Alan Horn officially confirmed that Dark Phoenix will be "the perfect sendoff for our X-Men team," and the "final chapter" for the X-Men world. So, while The Merc With a Mouth will more than likely continue to be played by Ryan Reynolds, it looks like the rest of the mutant characters will definitely be recast.

Shame I like the current cast. I do think Disney will make it more interesting though.

This opens up enough MCU movie potentials to take me through the rest of my life.

I’ll always appreciate and enjoy the original xmen in film. Hugh Jackman is on RDJ level in terms of perfect casting. They showed how well super hero movies could be made and what their potential was. It was a great ride.

Even though it’s not great, I don’t think we get Spider-Man with out x-men having it’s moderate success. And we don’t get today’s MCU without Spider-Man.
It didn’t age amazingly but I credit it as MCUs forerunner.

Fassbender and Mcavoy make a great pair.

Maybe we can get a hot Rogue that steals Captain Marvel’s powers.

Maybe we can now have Cable vs Thanos?

Jennifer Lawrence must be doing cartwheels right now. She hated playing that character, and now she has an out where she won’t lose any good will having to not do this crap anymore.

I believe JLaws original contract was a 3 picture deal then she re-signed for 2 more.
So she must have not hated getting paid.

JLaw hated the makeup work that went into her costume. First 3-4 hours of each filming day in the chair getting it all put on and and hour to remove it. 40-50 days at a time for each movie. I can understand why she didn’t like that part of the deal, especially when she wasn’t getting top billing or lead money.

There’s no way Professor X or Magneto exist in the MCU at least currently. Maybe make it a side effect after reversing the Snap.

Could have fooled me.

Fantastic Four should join the MCU. X-Men should be its own alternate universe under the Fox label.

What about Deadpool??? That’s in the same universe and we all know we need Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. But then again since he knows he’s in a comic/movie I guess they could make that work

Yeah I mean there’s so many mutants in the x men universe it would be weird if they never popped up until now with all the shite that’s been happening on earth
