MCU Ultron would have evened the fight as dusting isn't an option.
Comics Ultron is a fricking mess of Pym programming that would probably going Phalanx style on worlds if it got off world but can't stop itself from just tormenting earth until Vision finds the next way to shut him down.

I don't know about Ultron, but Hela would have whipped Thanos' arse. She beat the shite out of all the Asgardians by herself.

He's ruthless. He's able to be locked away for a time but his code always moves to a backup or reassembles itself. And he's Pymtouched. Which in comics just makes him a disaster by existing.

To expand on this, the story cribbed to make the movie involved him committing genocide on an entire Eastern European country, killing every living inhabitant within an hour, then turning their corpses into zombie soldiers as cannon fodder for the inevitable Avengers and UN invasion.
