Worst and best commercials now on tv....

Worst - "free, free, free, free, free, free, free"
Best - taco bell - when the skater does her routine, the climber making his climbs. Both say some serious statement about making their goals (twice), and the couch potato ends with saying, "Am I in the right commercial?"

Those antismoking/vaping commercials with the puppets making foghorn sounds make me want to punch my tv.

agree. They are going after the wrong market. For years the whole "Truth campaign" and anti-smoking ads have been getting people to stop or avoid starting cigarettes. Lots of people nowadays are ditching the cigs and going to vaping because yes, it's *foghorn* safer than cigarettes. IMO that should be applauded! I'm sure in their mind people shouldn't be doing anythign at all which I get, but I mean the audience they're going after is a group that made a choice to make a solid deicsion and improve even if only slightly, and they're getting admonished for it. Kinda ticks me off.

The Truth Campaign was actually formed by Phillip Morris as part of their deal with the government. It seems to have taken on a life of its own. As a formal heavy smoker who now occasionally vapes to kill cravings, I think those commercials are, at best, wrongheaded. But, like most social movements, they don't just go away because they've made the world better; they always have to invent a new boogieman to go after.

My 84 year old mom told me to watch the Chantix commercial (on Youtube) with the turkey because it was great. Finally saw it and don't get why she likes it.

Same here. The flashback to him going home was shot at the Treetops Condos in Dallas, when I lived there. That movie's version of Detroit was really Dallas.
