Being born in 1970, Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street were a huge part of my childhood. The man's voice sounds like what I remember being 4 and 5 to feel like.

In Columbia we have the True/False Film Festival every year, and my wife went this year (it was in February) and Won't You Be My Neighbor premiered. Without fail, everyone I talked to who went and saw this said this was their favorite movie of the festival. My wife said she cried several times (she's a preschool teacher and grew up with him on TV, so a double-whammy) and said that it's just a fantastic, well-made film about a guy that we probably didn't deserve.

Unfortunately, shows like Mr Rogers and Reading Rainbow aren't seen as valuable by those who could make them happen.
If it weren't for that HBO deal, Sesame Street would probably be canceled.

Mr. Rogers and Captain Kangaroo are the 2 people I idolized as a tot.
