Why don’t they cartoonify older shows and movies?

Cartoon filters have been around. Used millions of times for pictures.
Just have one process each frame of a movie and compile it into a new version release. (Like Star Wars or something)
Kinda like speeding up a Vinyl record for “Alvin & the chipmunks” speed 40 years ago.

I don't think there would be much of an audience?

If we were living in the 1980s, I've no doubt there would be a Stranger Things cartoon on Saturday mornings.
The WWF, Rambo, the Karate Kid, and even Police Academy were just a few adult properties made into cartoons, back in the day.

I wonder if someone did this if it would bypass some piracy/copyright claims like YouTube “reaction” videos?
Millions of people watch someone’s commentary of a movie and for whatever the reason they are allowed to play and react to movies without the content being removed.
Example of potential output:
That 70’s show cartoon scene

There wouldn’t be much of a cost associated so there’s not much of an investment to test.

Depends on how good the cartoon tech is at picking up emotional slights that actors are good at

But it's Stranger Things, so...

The had a ROBOCOP cartoon man.
Someone watched Robocop blow the testicles off of a rapist and then blow holes in the middle of a bunch of coke dealers and thought, "This would be PERFECT for kids!"

Such was the way in the 1980s, and we loved it.
A muscle bound black guy wearing a Mohawk and gold chains who threatens people? The kids will love it!

I don't know. They took it a bit far.
YouTube: Superman won't give Mr. T his shot at the title.
