Was there a really offensive joke?

Reminds me of that movie where the dogs kept dying that was panned because a $7,000 a day dog didn't jump in the water on cue.

Mom outrage can be funny, but was wondering if anything bad was in the movie.

Wasn't this a thing months ago? Because a video was shared of a dog being put in water over and over for a scene and seemed uncomfortable. Or was that another movie?

Aside from the fact that it looks terrible... apparently some scene where the dog has to have it's genitals touched by a judge or something. And morons that can't differentiate between a dog in a movie and their kids.

And it might not be terrible, but any commerical/TV show/movie where live action dogs are shown "talking" with CGI creeps me out for some reason.

apparently there's a scene where a dog has to get his balls touched for a show competition and he doesn't want to. then there's a weird scene where he goes to his "happy place" while it's happening

What a joke. I guess the mom's forgot how they became mom's in the first place.

The faux outrage over the dumbest shite makes the shite that matters inconsequential

I agree that there are a lot of moms jumping on thier Facebook high horse for likes, but if you read about the scene it really is pretty disturbing especially considering rumors of pedo problems in Hollywood.

Often victims of sexual abuse describe disassociating when they are being abused. Here you have a kids movie basically teaching them to disassociate while someone is touching their privates. At the very least this is pretty bad judgement from everyone involved.

If the "Scarymommy.com" summary is to be believed, it might be legit disturbing. Makes it sound like that's the theme of the whole movie.

But given the sources here, I remain skeptical.

I've read the plot, and it does sound pretty weird for a PG film. It's not just a one line gag, but apparently a good part of the movie, including dialogue of how it's okay to be touched by someone else.

Seriously wtf.

And I'd much rather err on the side of paranoid moms than Hollywood pedo scum any day.

Damn,I guess I won't take the kids to see it. The youngest wants to see Deadpool 2.

Deadpool was on cable TV the other day so I didn't tell them to turn it off. I figure "hey it's cable". Next thing I hear is "frick". I look and see the FX logo. It's like 3pm. Just odd.
But I figured they heard worse, so I let them watch it.

But the Show Dogs actually looks creepy if true.

Sounds more like a Seth Rogen stoner film than a PG family outing.
