Variety has confirmed that a sequel series to the classic sitcom is in the works at Sony Pictures Television, with original stars Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano onboard to reprise their roles.

The new show will take place 30 years after the events of the original series and be centered around former major-league baseball player and retired housekeeper Tony Micelli (Danza) and his relationship with his daughter Samantha Micelli (Milano), who is now a single mother and living in the house in which the original series was set.

Original cast members Judith Light and Danny Pintauro not currently involved with the series but could become so if the creators can think of a creative way to work their characters into the show.

I'd pay a few dimes to see Embrace of the Vampire again.

Well this sounds truly awful. Like the 2nd guy said no one wants this and ill get a step further by saying no one asked for it either. Is Tony banging some big time executives wife to get this on air or did Alyssa find her way back to her old worn out casting couch

We couldn't have gotten this in Milano's prime? At least I would watch it for that.

While they're at it, should do a sequel to The Partridge Family with Danny Bonaduce and Susan Dey

Hopefully Milano is murdered in the first episode and the rest of the series is Danza hunting the murderer only to catch him/her in the series finale and rewarding them with a nice monetary prize for ridding him of that insufferable bitch.
