The past two episodes had very singular streamlined in your face plots that didn't seem to bend or go off the rails. And they're very grounded and rational often involving each character getting its own spotlight when talking. Which is a calling card of female writing.

Again, I'm not saying it's better or worse, I'm saying it's undoubtedly different and undoubtedly more feminine written.
I'm saying it is worse and it is killing the show for me. The small attention to detail to draw viewers in is what made the show great for many and all of that has disappeared.

Coming in here to said I called but but the female writing team has ruined this show.

It's still a good show but it's not even close to the level of S1-2.

They are obviously trying to "humanize" the show and bring more real world situations and emotions to it.

The appeal was this is a show where a grandfather takes his grandson on dimensional jumping adventures and it's wild as frick. Nothing was really grounded ever, in fact we have replaced the family once already, and left the original in Cronenberg-World.

Now they are grounding it with divorce crap and therapy type crap, like any of that matters in an infinite amount of universes.

I hate that the SJW movement infiltrated one of my favorite all time shows. I cant believe there are news headlines like: Female writers make Rick and Morty Season 3 the best yet!

Ridiculous.

Say what you want about South Park and it had it's down moments but this would have never happened to that show.

I think you missed the joke at the end. They were just kids being ignored while Rick and Beth stated they were going to get drunk and frick therapy.

Infinite more Jerrys exist than infinite Ricks after Rick took the Council down. They'll start C-137ing eventually.

I mean in one universe or another, the phrasing is happening.

Porn is infinite, Morty.

Your mom, my daughter, there's Alabama versions, you don't want to see, It'll warp your mind, Morty. It's just sick, Morty, the things they do and the no teeth. Morty, you know me, I do uncomfortable awful things, this Alabama Rick and Morty, Morty, they make me uncomfortable. And that's a hard thing to do. In a way I applaud them Morty. They make me a better person by existing, so when I hit rock bottom, Morty are you listening, Morty this is important, when I hit rock bottom I'm still not as low as Alabama Rick's ceiling.

I really don't want to have this discussion in this thread. Let's wait until August 23 to have the discussion about why this already happened last season on South Park in a South Park thread.

So I'm watching Rick and Morty on Hulu, the parasites episode on Season 2, and I'm reading this thread. As soon as my eyes hit your post, Rick says this line.

That and the Mr. Meeseeks episode are the best episodes in the show. If you ever want to introduce someone to Rick & Morty, start with those 2. The pilot isn't a good first episode to watch.

I've just started watching consistently last week. I'm loving the shite out of it. I'm trying to get my GF to watch, but she's not into it.

Just explain to her that you have infinite girlfriends that exist in alternate realities so she needs to be one that likes R&M.

Mr. Meeseeks and Mr. Poopy Butthole episodes are the top 2. In a tier of their own.

Episode 1 of this season was up there as well. Great all the way through, but the Mulan Szechaun teriyaki nugget dipping sauce 8 more seasons 99 years rant was probably the biggest laugh out loud moment of the entire series for me. I was damn near in tears laughing so hard at that rant.

You almost forget that episode was part of this seadon considering it was 4 whole fricking months before the rest of the season and came out of nowhere.

Cudos. They should have signed you as a writer instead of Thelm and Louise.
