To rank the episodes this season:

1) The Ricklantis Mixup/Tales from the Citadel
2) Morty's Mind Blowers
3) Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender
4) The ABC's of Beth
5) The Rickshank Redemption
6) Pickle Rick
7) The Rickchurian Mortydate
8) The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy
9) Rest and Ricklaxation
10) Rickmancing the Stone

Agreeed. Morty's Mind Blowers might be my favorite though. The scene where he experiences true level is my favorite out of all the seasons

Here's my list. Maybe the April fools gag gets them bonus points, but I really liked episode 1. It went a little downhill early in the season with Rickmancing the Stone and Pickle Rick. Rest and Ricklaxation is the worst episode of R&M there is. The rest of the season was passable. If season one and season two are 9/10, I'd give season three a 7/10. Not bad. Hopefully they do better next season...in like a really long time.

1) The Rickshank Redemption
2) The Ricklantis Mixup/Tales from the Citadel
3) Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender
4) The Rickchurian Mortydate
5) Morty's Mind Blowers
6) The ABC's of Beth
7) The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy
8) Rickmancing the Stone
9) Pickle Rick
10) Rest and Ricklaxation - Worst episode of the entire series

Also, Beth is a clone.

I haven't even finished the finale but has it been brought up that with the whole "Is Beth a clone or is she really her" story a possible explanation to Evil Morty?

Did Rick clone Morty because he couldn't handle it any more and the Morty we see is his clone?

The thing at least with the original reality, Rick had been noted for being out of Beth's life for 17 years. We see pictures and mental images of Rick with a baby Morty though. I don't think this show would do a plot hole like that.

Plus Rick said that the Rickest Rick would have the "Mortiest Morty", which I don't think makes a whole lot of sense. I think that Evil Morty is the Rickest Morty and was our Rick's original Morty before he went rogue. So Rick went and found the Mortiest Morty instead, and given how often Ricks die it's not hard to believe that Morty's actual Rick is dead.

I don't believe so. It's purely based on what was set up at the end of ABC's of Beth.

Possibly, but I think it's much more likely that he just jumped to a new universe and set up shop with the Smith family of that universe.

That was easily the worst episode of the series. Can't believe that was the finale. I never laughed and it is so over the top with political satire and power shifting Rick & Morty.

None of the characters even sounded nor acted like themselves. Rick was a ruthless a-hole the entire time and never showed an ounce of caring. Rick always ACTS like a dick but actually cares. This felt like a completely alternate cast of characters.

This was the only episode solely written by Harmon. I think Harmon has lost touch of what the show is and has let his own bitterness consume him. I think this finale compared to the whole tone and feel of the other episodes had to be what Justin and Dan fought about.

Rick has now been proven to be an unstoppable god and killed humans without remorse. he has now turned into an all powerful being with no remorse.

what is the point of the series now? How can he ever be in danger after we witnessed him be a god? Morty didnt even care about Rick anymore. no one did. wtf is happening?

I havnt seen it but thinking back to previous episodes and ESPECIALLY the truth of the previous 3 seasons that some guy on youtube broke, maybe this episode being the way it was means you should be looking more into it and not just taking it at face value.

there is no "secret underlying plot"

that was a red herring to elevate an already regarded as "smart people" show into an even "deeper" level.

I'm the biggest R&M fan there is, but cmon.

This show started out as a suck my balls joke about Back to the Future. It's not some super deep show because they have alternate dimensions and a new existential crisis every week. That shite was done 20 years ago with Sliders or Quantum Leap. What it has been is consistantly super fricking funny and hilarious. It had it's own charm and brand of humor to it. I feel like S3 that was absent and the writing seemed very forced. It had it's moments but they were few and far between. They were replaced with long monologues from Beth or Summer.

Think about this:

The entire season revolved around a divorce in a show where the title characters have already abandoned their original family as least twice that we know of, probably more. Does that make any sense? No, it doesn't. In fact it's opposite of the over arching plot they were building which was basically Rick & Morty going on adventures.

They took 2 years to pump this shitty season out. Every delay (much like video game fans say) was met with "they are taking time to make it right, to make it a better show." "Animation takes time" (i know SP is a different beast but they put out a newepisode in 6 days, don't give me that it takes too long shite, I know its a totally different process but still)

It took them 2 years for 10 episodes of an animated show. Stuff leaked and was later dismissed about Roiland and Harmon not getting along, but it sure seeps out of the season now looking at it as a whole.

Then if you even discuss your opinion like I do, you get called out for being toxic and spoiled.

It's the opposite, I'm a huge fan of this show and I just expected the same level of quality after 2 extremely consistent opening seasons. Nothing more.

very well put. i think the delay was over which direction to take the show. not "getting it right" like they claimed. Harmon even went through a divorce between the seasons. CLEARLY he put that into rick and morty and changed the entire dynamic of the show.

go look at the writing credits for s1 and 2. roiland is all over it. this season not so much and Harmon solo wrote the finale.

How is that any different than Rick of old? He purged. He turned everyone on Earth into those deranged creatures and ruined a universe. He routinely kills, he has called himself a God more than once.

Season 4 will dictate the rest of Rick and Morty. It looks like Harmon started overpowering Roland, and putting way too much of his actual life into their cartoon one.

Summer barely showed up in this season at all

This was 100% because Harmon just got divorced. He attempted to put his own life into the show, and the show wasn't as good because of it.

Community had a slight drop in quality after season 2, then a huge drop off after season 3. It got pretty lame. I hope R&M brings it back next season. I'm not super down on R&M S3, but they dropped the ball early on and it set a negative tone for the fans. Several bottom five episodes of the entire series came in the 1st half of season 3. They did pick it up, but everyone already had a bad taste in their mouth.

ETA: Honestly, these 4 episodes would make up 4/5 of the worst episodes of the first three seasons of Rick and Morty. The first two just didn't quite have it. Something was missing. The last two were just boring and lame.

The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy
Rickmancing the Stone
Pickle Rick
Rest and Ricklaxation - Worst episode of the entire series

There's a fan theory floating around about the post credits scene. Mr. Poopy Butthole says something about having a big grey beard and having a couple of grandchildren. Maybe he was talking about getting older because a lot of time passed. But the internet is buzzing about a potential bonus Christmas episode that could air on Christmas eve (Sunday). It wouldn't be the first time they came out of no where with an episode (April fools).

I've really enjoyed this season, but I'm typically an optimistic person.

I'm not calling you toxic or spoiled, just letting you know that I had sex with your mom.
