Is there any way of figuring out who else Matt and Trey have in the writer's room with them? I'd be really interested in knowing who it is from season to season or even episode to episode.

They don't fully disclose that on IMDB. Lots of people have written for it or taken part in their Summer workshops, but I don't know how you find that.

I remember in the 7 Days to Air doc it looked like Bill Hader got paid to sit and laugh at their jokes all day.

The quality of the show has gone down ever since they did the Book of Mormon. Family Guy started to suck when all of the side shows came out too (American Dad, Cleveland Show). Talent stretched too thin.

The prime of the show were seasons 5-11. Not really a single stinker in those seasons. The only season that has come close to those is 19.

Wikipedia lists him as a writer since 2008, but who knows how accurate that is. They also say h is a producer and "creative consultant", whatever that is. He's definitely done some voice acting for them throughout the years.

Whoa whoa whoa.

American Dad has a solid writing crew. It just took them to Stan of Arabia to really find their voice.

Cleveland Show just sucked for the most part.

This. After Stan of Arabia, American Dad really left Family Guy in the dust. The Illuminutti episodes were awesome as well.

I'm not saying American Dad sucked. I'm saying Family Guy did once several of the staff left for those shows.

I definitely remember thinking that.

(Not saying that’s actually all he did)
