Yes - hence Ethan and Harper’s metamorphosis into Cam/Daphne. They became what the other couple personified.

Go to HBO Max and watch the 4 minute after the show with Mike White, the creator.
He purposely wanted those questions to be up for debate, but the main point was whatever happened on the island, Ethan returned a different person and forgave Harper.
Like mentioned above the main point was at the beginning of the show Harper and Ethan were making fun of what the other couple was and by the end thats who they turned into.

There’s an article that had major spoilers after the finale that showed clues dropped during the season that I missed. The first one was the mannequin in The Godfather car was wearing the same dress Tanya was wearing on the yacht.

I’m not sure if his motivation was that he didn’t care, getting back at Harper, or getting back at Cam.
Based on his looks and mannerisms, it seemed like he didn’t care about anyone and just went along for the ride.
I’m more curious to know if anything happened between Cam and Harper. Even Mike White said it’s kind of up to interpretation.
I felt like Harper being so defensive when she was accused was probably a red flag. Not to mention she denied anything and then confessed to a kiss.

I don't get the love for this show? I watched the first 3 episodes of season 1 and never laughed once, and yes, I do understand subtle comedy and irony. Does it ever get funny? or is it a "Dramedy" masquerading as a comedy.

Seemed like she did it on purpose and gave Ethan the same treatment he gave her with the hooker situation. An eye for an eye essentially because she'll forever wonder if something more happened with the hookers, just like Ethan will wonder what happened with Cam.
Ethan definitely screwed around with Daphne. It made him feel like he got back at Cam. That said, I don't think he was really a new man until after the dinner speech. He and Harper were sitting there quietly and Harper had a tear rolling down her cheek right before Daphne and Cam showed up. It's like Cam's smug speech and Daphne, who he just screwed around with, sitting across the way made him at peace with the fact that he's no different than them.

You may need to recalibrate your expectations because it’s not a comedy show.
