I think there was a thread on this last week. I think he went crazy or something.

He is a fricking loon and was difficult to work with. Studios don't wsnt to hire someone who shuts down a filmset on an a 50,000,000 production because their actor who they’re paying millions of dollars to is throwing a tantrum.

I honestly really don’t like Carrey except for Bruce Almighty.

Funny enough, he was just in a movie that came out a few days ago where he plays a detective in a gruesome Seven style movie that is supposed to be just awful.

What was his last big hit? Me, Myself, and Irene? Audiences got tired of him. He's a good actor but other than Truman Show his dramas all bombed too. Once he refused to promote Kick arse 2 the studios were done with him.

The following Jim Carrey movies all made a profit of $100+ million at the box office:

Dumb amd Dumber To (2014)
Mr. Popper's Penguins (2011)
A Christmas Carol (2009)
Yes, Man (2008)
Horton Hears a Who (2008)
Fun With Dick and Jane (2005)
Bruce Almighty (2003)

The last movie I remember him. In was the Grinch. He went off the deep end and I think his shtick got old after awhile

It may be an unpopular opinion, but I like Jim Carrey in The Majestic.

He became a very talented painter and a living comedic act. Something happened to him when he made the Man on the Moon movie.

How many good roles are out there for comedians in their mid '50s? I mean Eddie Murphy's the same age and his career's not really popping either. Comedy is a younger man's game.

His girlfriend killed herself because of him a few years ago. That probably didn't help his mental state.

He ate a bunch of acid started thinking too deep. Wanted to be in all these serious movies..

I can’t remember the actor who said it but they summed it up pretty well.

Why would you want to play serious rolls? It’s easy to be sad. It’s much harder to make people laugh and be happy

He was on an episode of Comedians Getting Coffee with Seinfeld and he's really in his own world. Seems to be focusing more on his painting. And I guess if he's been shite listed by hollywood, he'll have all the time in the world for that.

The one cool thing I saw in that episode is he's super approachable to the fans. Hugs, pictures, cutting up.
