I mean, it seems she wants a free/independent North. Although she probably wants to push Jon to take the throne now.

Remember when she didn’t trust Arya?

Remember when she didn’t trust Jon?

This is her MO. She’s not smart. She’s just skeptical.

She already has done what she needs to do. She spoke the rumor to Tyrion and let his doubts over. He's already discussing treason and contemplating jumping to Jon by the end of the episode. All without her fingerprints on it. She's playing him.

Worst case, she rules the North. If Dany sits on the throne, she never bends the knee because Jon has and the North is still quasi-independent as Dany doesn't pish the issue. If Cersei wins, the North really is independent, completely outside of the Iron Throne's jurisdiction. Cersei will likely never have the power nor the will to send forces North to subjugate her (it's almost better for Sansa if Cersei wins)

Best case, Dany and Cersei murder each other (or their courtiers do it for you) and you install Jon, a Stark, on the throne. She still rules as Warden of the North as Jon never has the guts to rein in his sister. Or, even better, all three murder each other, and Sansa now has the best claim to the Iron throne. She wins without lifting a finger.

Either way, you sit up North and consolidate power. You control the North and thanks to Arya, the Neck as well. Your position is virtually impregnable, and the Vail will likely support you as well.

They explained that last night. Instead of accepting the Hound's protection and remaining a little girl, she opted for the School of Knocked Up by Ramsay and Joffrey. She graduated with honors.

In addition, Robb is dead and neither Arya nor Bran particularly give a shite about things.

Those two have their own concerns at the moment which aren’t related to political maneuvering.

She figured LF’s lying arse out

She knew Jon didn’t have enough men against Ramsay

She knew he was going to fall into Ramsay’s trap

She did a good job preparing WF

She was dumb in the beginning, but she learned a lot from the shitty people she was with

She had the opportunity to be a really interesting character, but the show has forced her into a pretty boring niche.
None of the awesome nuance and strategy that she's earned has been displayed. Instead, we get a 2 minute conversation with the hound to "tell" us she's different.
Such a waste of a character.
