Was Really Looking Forward To AppleTV’s “Invasion”

it sucked big time. Reddit threads are tearing it apart.

I think I will give it a go after getting caught up with "What we do in the Shadows." It looked so damned promising

Slow as crap. It took me three times to get through the third episode. Hoping it picks up because I love me some alien invasion shows.

My favorite among the many hilarious lines in the show so far:

Evil white man to Muslim man: “this is our local gas station Osama!”

This is the best comedic series since Seinfeld.

I'd have an easier time suspending disbelief if it were an actual alien invasion movie.

This show can’t decide if it wants to be an alien invasion show or This Is Us. I wanted to like it because of Sam Neill, but it’s been trash through 6 episode. The newest one focusing on the Muslim family in the farm house was like watching the battle of Winterfell with sunglasses on. Couldn’t see a thing but I think we finally got a glimpse of the aliens.

0/10 would not recommend, but I’ll have to see to the rest of the season out

I'm on episode 8 right now. American military man has just asked through an interpreter if hot Japanese lady speaks English. "Japanese" she says back to the interpreter in Japanese, as she types on a screen with all English language.

Also, every time everyone needs to shut the frick up a person, usually a kid, talks or screams. It's getting so stupid it's kitchie.

in what should be a great show given the material I thought this would be something I’d enjoy. Just started it on a whim and the first episode is so slow that halfway through I had to check for a thread here to see if it was worth sticking out. Apparently on top of being boring as shite you’re telling me it’s going to turn into a SJW fest? frick this I’m out

Is there a good thriller tv show on Apple TV? Watched the movie Prisoners for the first time yesterday which rocked and got me in the mood. The Tetris movie says it’s a thriller but doesn’t seem like that’s what it would be from the reviews I read

The most recent couple of alien invasion TV shows (Invasion and War of the Worlds) have been boring as hell. At least War of the Worlds started out with a bang. The initial invasion was great. After that it lost momentum quickly.
