They were the ones who flubbed the Best Picture announcement last year. I guess Jimmy Kimmel is giving them a second chance.

It’ll be the biggest Web Redemption ever.

Weren’t they given the wrong envelope?

They were indeed. But the envelope clearly said "Best Actress in a Leading Role" and inside was clearly written Emma Stone "La La Land."
Had the man had any sense he would have turned to someone off stage and said he was given the wrong envelope.

This.
Idiot stood there nervously giggling like a fricking first grader that just shite his pants and then handed it to Faye who just read the first thing she saw because he had taken so long.
Clyde fricking Barrow should have more courage under fire than that old buffoon.
PWC fricked up obviously but this wasn’t some national disaster that had to be figured out. Just read into the mic that this isn’t the right envelope.
And Kimmel shite the bed just standing around while La La Land gave multiple fricking acceptance speeches too until one of their producers had to step in and take control to fix the mess those idiots allowed to develop.
Going to be awesome to see how they poke fun at it actually

They're probably going to jokingly announce La La Land as the winner or something lame.

Well that is interesting, considering Jagger sings back up vocals on the song.

Maybe they’ll make a gay bashing joke and then give it to Call me by your name

Kimmel wasn't wearing a headset and was sitting in the audience as scheduled for his next bit. He ran on stage when he realized what was going on.

Nah. That wasn’t their job. You do the job they’ve sent you out there to do - read what the envelope says. You don’t want to bring attention to yourself by doing something out of the ordinary. I understand the irony of this, but you be a professional and do your job as Coach Payton would say.
