Warm Bodies.....

Finally got around to seeing it yesterday.
I enjoyed it, but not as much as the wife did or thought I would. I felt like something was missing.
What does the MTV board think about this one.
Convince me it was awesome, or awful. I really want it to be one or the other
Awesome soundtrack though for sure.

It never really looked too appealing to me, but I liked the idea of a different take on zombies for a change though.
I feel like if I watched it (because a chick made me) I could enjoy it enough to not hate it.

In all honesty, I actually dragged the wife there. I love Zombie movies and also am not ashamed to admit my love of romcoms
But like I said, she actually liked it better than I did.
It was definitely pretty clever and had some great scenes, usually involving very good music selections, but I just couldn't fully find myself buying into it.
I don't know, just wanted to hear some other takes on it.
And BTW, Cocomo, I defended you and the Illiterati in the GoT book reader thread

Can't take credit for it though. Can't remember who said it, but I definitely picked it up from someone else. May have even been one of them??

I've been trying to download it but they don't have any seeders

Thanks, but it's NBD really. I guess it's cool that at least some discussion about me is fricking up ya'lls thread since readers keep fricking up ours.

That was my whole point! Your thread is actually MUCH more on track than ours was. Reader thread was literally like 13 pages of nothing but bitching about yall bitching at them.
It seems to be mostly back on track, but it's a real reek fest at times
And like I said, I never thought you even got too aggressive about it. All of your posts seemed reasonable, except for not recognizing Gilly's ragged arse
Enjoy the ride, it's a great series

I specifically tried not to. And I didn't remember what she looked like since it's been so long since I watched the show (didn't get to rewatch like I planned to). It may have been a stupid question, but I'm cool with asking stupid questions for a show like this.

I'm trying to.
Anyway, no need to sidetrack your WB thread any longer. Preciate you looking out though.

Definitely suggest rewatching. Even as a book reader I have trouble keeping up with all the characters and story lines.

Doesn't seem to be generating much buzz anyway
Was WB based on a book? If so, maybe I'll relabel it the WB NON-BOOK READER thread to get some traffic

Did you catch the Romeo and Juliet theme of it? I completely missed it until halfway through the movie when my friend pointed it out...made it a lot more interesting as I thought back on it
"R" = Romeo
"Julia" = Juliette
"M" (R's best friend) = Mercutio
Star-crossed lovers with feuding families, etc.
Is it a great movie? No. But it's unique and entertaining

Hmm, I actually missed most of that, but I definitely did stop and think of R&J during the balcony scene when he shows up at her house. But even then, I didn't connect all of that other stuff.
Now that I think about it, Julie's friend Nora = Nurse?? She shows up on the balcony scene and later runs static on her Dad as well.
Damn, R killing someone close to J at the beginning is a connection too.
Interesting. If I watched it again with that it mind it might seem even more clever.
Oh shite, this kind of did just become a book reader thread
Seriously, I'll probably rent it to watch again with that in mind

I watched it online. It was OK and had a few funny parts. I wouldn't pay money to see it though.

It makes the movie a lot more clever when you connect it.
Like I said, I saw it in theaters and my friend mentioned it halfway through, so now I want to re-watch it and look for more references
