I think he whispered to Rick:
"I just sharted."
"I just sharted."

What secret could the doctor have possibly revealed to Rick and only Rick? If it was something zombie related, he had no reason to hold it back from the rest of the group.
While I agree that it was probably about the pregnancy. If it was some major secret, a person is smart, but people are stupid irrational beings. (men in black, at least where I heard it first). I could see Rick keeping something major from them until the right time.
But still, I think it was about Lori being pregnant.

What is this, "Lost" now?
I was on the pregnancy bandwagon until Lori revealed it to Rick. Not so sure now, and I wonder if maybe Rick has cancer. Otherwise, my only other guess is that there isn't anything at Ft. Benning, and Rick knows they have to stay at the farm.

I am really really really hoping this show picks up the pace.

I could see that happening. Writers probably forgot the scene even took place.

I think he told rick that it was global now and that there was no where to hide, but that there was a cure but no way to manufacture it.

I just watched the scene where he told him again. Granted it could be anything he is saying, but it seems like a lot of words being said for just "hey your wife is knocked up."
Rick appears to be hit hard from what is said. Kinda almost doubles over a little.
Shortly after that scene, out comes a hand grenade from the 1st issue (think 1st)...I think writers did the secret with full intent of eventually letting it out.
That said I think it is definitely virus related. If the secret had been Lori pregnant, I think he would have reacted differently. The way he reacted to me was of horrible news...virus was almost stopped but would take a miracle type think. I am going to rewatch 1st season and see what I may have missed/what was hinted at.

Hmmmm, last season of it kicked arse. I'm still waiting for the show to get into high gear this season.
There haven't been enough zombie attacks and stuff like that. They find out about Laurie and Sophia but the fights with the zombies aren't nearly as numerous as last season. They find the barn and then it's over.
And enough with that other guy, I forget his name, Rick's buddy. That dude needs to just..... ugh. I think the remainder of the season will be better but it hasn't been as good as last season so far.

If anyone wants anything fun to read to help hold them over, my zombie story "The Glass Coffin" went for sale on kindle a few days ago.
So far it has two good reviews and I know more are on the way as I've sent it to a few people for blurbs and thoughts.
It's about 9,000 words (tl,dr) and its only $0.99. I'd love to hear some people's thoughts on it who take part in the regular zombie discussions.

So, are there any other guesses at what he could have been told?
The only guess I have would be related to the comic and it has already been spoiled in a Walking Dead thread before, but here's your warning just in case.
************Potential Comic Spoiler***************
I think he told Rick that they all have the virus and will all turn into zombies once they die, regardless of whether they were bitten or not, himself included. That would serve as motivation for him to blow up the building and be incinerated, he didn't want to die and become a zombie. It would also explain Rick's reaction.

Well I see that people still can't resist dropping comic spoilers in discussions about the show (Zombie did a good job though,
), so I'll likely avoid the thread from now on, but I wanted to say this:
I don't see that happening, mainly because to start this season, Rick was leaving Morgan that message, and he said something along the lines of "The doctor at the CDC told me......well, what he told me doesn't matter right now, but.."
So they definitely did reference it and I doubt they'd do that only to "forget" about it and move on like it never happened.

If you're referring to me, I only posted something that had been posted before and I still gave multiple warnings about it to make it easy to avoid if you so desired.

Do you think they bring Morgan back at all, or just leave his fate unanswered?

wow. i forgot about that as well.
well in light of that I switch my vote to the doctor telling him its gone global or "you are all fricked"
Posted on 12/7/11 at 7:31 pm to LSUZombie
there is no cure, its gone global, good luck but there is no where to run. Oh your wife is pregnant.
This may explaing another reason rick wants to stay at the farm, he know no matter where he and the others run, they can't escape their eventual demise.
