Oh snap! She jelly and leaving! No threesome for Ragnar makes for a sad Viking. Now he will never plunder the booty of two mAsses in one conquest

If mrs ragner is gone. I'm not watching this show anymore
Posted on 2/27/14 at 10:01 pm to tigerpimpbot

They didn't kill her off. She's not off the show. That dude that Rolo impaled with the spear, he won't be back.

Lol @ Ragnar trying to make her think it would be her idea to have a threesome.

Son is actually assassin hired by ragnar

yeah there's a lot of awesome stuff going to go down apparently, can't wait.
also yes, this series is following what is assumed to be the real history of Ragnar, so if you want to see what we know about him I guess just go to wikipedia, kind of spoilers though since I saw this coming because of reading up about him.

Wait so he hires his own son to assassinate someone?

Looks like Rollo's olé lady is a count and a whore. She bucked his head up and made him want to turn on Ragnar, and now she's gonna bang the king. Not to mention giving everyone the plague.

Reading up on it now. The TV show can go anywhere with this. Looks like they are staying true, somewhat, but looks like they got the part about who his son Bjorn's mother is, wrong.

Bjorn is such a mommas boy
Go read about his exploits IRL and say that.

Historical Spoilers?
LINK
Just read up on Ragnar and all of his sons. I think i see where History Channel may take the story. So according to loose historical records, Bjorn Ironside was a son of Aslaug, along with Ivar the boneless, Halfdan Ragnarsson, Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye, and Ubba.
Now most legends state that all of the brother, except for Bjorn, eventually conquered Northumbria with the Army of Heathens and all became Kings of the scandinavian countries. Bjorn conquered many other Islands with his brothers and later was King of Sweden.
I think the lack of clarity of which brothers were involved in the Army of Heathens may have prompted History Channel to take liberties and just state that Bjorn was the son of Lagertha, rather than Aslaug.
That's about as far as i've gotten. The historical accounts can lead History Channel to take many liberties and go anywhere with this. However, it does seem that the more interesting parts are about his sons, rather than Ragnar himself.
Oh and historically, no one is 100% certain that Ragnar actually existed. But his sons exploits are historical record. They feel that ragnar is an amalgamation of different historical characters.

Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye
"he was born with the image of the ouroborous, a snake or dragon biting its own tail, encircling the pupil of his eye. For this to be the case, both parents would have to be genetic carriers of the congenital Pax6 Mutation that causes Aniridia."
Here's a picture of someone with Aniridia. It isn't a uniform condition, so Sigurd's eye could have looked very differently.
And here is a picture of an ouroborous:
