Any chance they ever include Carnage and actually are true to character/source material? Going dark like The Punisher series...

Or is this going to be childrenized

Wow, how will this work if Spiderman is not even part of the framework? I think the 2004 Catwoman movie was made in a universe without Batman.

Kinda sorta.

There is a bit in there when it's being explained to Halle Berry how there have been other Catwomen where you see a picture of Michelle Pfeiffer.

Regardless, that is easily top 3 when it comes to worst superhero movies.

Hell, the basketball scene alone makes it one of the worst big budget flicks ever.

Ok, I saw it over a decade ago on TV. I will say it's probably the worst superhero/villain movie ever made. I don't even remember the ending.

Venom was a highlight of my comic book days

One of mine as well, I still have all of my Amazing Spiderman comics with McFarlane art work, something like 298-316ish. Love his artwork on Batman as well.

McFarlane knew art.

Him revamping the webbing to be more detailed was a great thing.

Old school was either the two lines and netting Xs or a stream depending on use.

New school was the detailed strands and ropes that he pushed.

So is this technically the first ever villain origin movie?

Doesn’t sound like it’ll be true to the source, if Spider-Man isn’t in it. Still could be awesome though.

Everyone loved Venom back then. I remember writing letters to Marvel asking for more Venom/Carnage. Then the Maximum Carnage storyline came out and I was like “oh...ugh.” I finally understood why too much of a character, especially a character with no depth like Carnage, got old fast.

I don't mind that. Doesn't come out until October, so maybe they just don't want to show it just yet.

Looks solid though, but then again, Tom Hardy can't do much wrong either

They showed just enough to be a teaser. I'm EXTREMELY pumped about this! Venom vs. Carnage will be beyond epic on screen.

If you watch him seizing you can see venom creeping up his neck.

my biggest takeaway from the trailer is that we won't need subtitles to understand what the hell Tom Hardy is saying in the movie

Tom Holland reportedly spotted on set as Peter Parker no Spider-Man.

I’m guessing it will be cameo

Peter Parker is going to be in it thought just not in spiderman costume so it's in the same universe.

CGI probably isn't done, but they've been doing work with Andy Serkis so I'm sure it'll be fine
