I guess amazon did a remake of a British dystopian show of the same name. British one was really good I thought. Wonder what amazon is going to change.

I thought this was referring to the truly outstanding Australian workplace comedy and got excited.

I started it last night and just turned it off. It was really bad (in my opinion). Seriously, couple of murderous fan boy nerds? It was just dumb.

It’s deeper than that. There’s an underground Organization obviously up to a dystopian plot. Maybe amazon didnt do as good as the brits I haven’t gotten to watch a whole ep yet.

ETA the 2 goons seem less intimidating so far.

When I clicked on it, the description was so terrible that I wasn't going to waste a second watching the show.

It's a poor, VERY poor remake of a much better show that sadly never got a proper chance. I tried watching it and felt embarrassed for the creators that they would look at the original and think what they have produced was in any way close to as well made as the first Utopia.

After catching a few eps I’m starting to agree. Less good characters building and plot development. Seems like they dulled the good qualities and interactions of each character. Kinda a bummer

So weird, every review on this thread has been negative yet there are twice as many downvotes on the reviews as there are upvotes. Carry on.

Like showing airplane disaster movie-a-thon to the passengers on a non stop flight from LA to Sydney.

Brilliant.

Hard pass here.

I watched it, the ending is very poor and not well thought out.

The lead is not that likeable, not much charisma and hard to pull for in the show.

The few characters that have charisma are killed off early, so your left with a few to pull for and get through a semi dull writing.

The writing is used to pull strings to get you to like those that are around in the end of the heroes of the show.

2 of 4 is about right, I will go watch the original British show Dystopian, many of their shows are better written.

I found it intriguing enough, but when they killed off the hot/interesting main character at like episode 2 I stopped. Not sure if that makes me shallow or not, but the other people in the group didn’t really interest me much except maybe Becky.

Watched the first couple episodes with no pre-conceived notions or knowledge and liked it...? Is that wrong?

The British one was amazing. I doubt the US version will do it justice

dont watch any more of amazon's version, watch the british one instead. british one is 2 seasons and amazons kinda was a remake that caught things up in 1 season in a much less enjoyable format. Plus every british character version is better than the american version

I liked it. Solid cast with John Cusack, Rainn Wilson, Sonja Sohn (Kima from The Wire). Biggest flaw was the casting of Jessica Hyde - the actress just isn’t appealing - but I found the rest of the cast likeable. Sort of has a Mr. robot vibe - not that the plots are similar, just the overall vibe. Lots of hate in this thread apparently, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Where can I watch the British version?
