released today. I watched the first 3 episodes.
The first two episodes contrast incompetent and thoughtless detective work (episode 1) with professional empathetic work (episode 2).

The rest of the series appears to be police procedural, with some cut-aways to the victim from episode 1 and the trauma she's endured due to the lousy detective work.
Very intense. The acting is great. Katilyn Dever (The teen aged girl who inherited Mag's pot farm in "Justified") plays the victim.

It’s really melodramatic in their depictions of good police work, and shitty police work. tbh. It also plays heavily on stereotypes. The actress playing the main young victim annoys the hell out of me.

I think I’m through 6 episodes, and It’s interesting enough to keep me watching, but I don’t love it. It honestly feels just a couple notches above a Lifetime special to me, in terms of quality.

So does police work when it comes to victims. Episode one is more common than Episode two.

As soon as I heard foster parent and counselor...I knew who was not going to be believed.

Also, did you notice victim #1 was stoic and introverted and victim #2 was smiling and helpful? That is not uncommon. Having been to several rape kit exams, including my own, it has been a very good depiction.

Just staring episode 3, but the 1st two have been very good.
