what do you mean the dagger makes no sense? It's an ancient, mythical, secret sith device created to hide a secret in wreckage that's only 40 years old...

The entire plot's logic was written by a third grader
Dont think about this movie AT ALL and you'll enjoy it
This movie definitely will not age well, however, as time removes it from the low bar it was initially viewed against

. I'd honestly never thought about how absurd that is. And Rey is just standing at exactly the right place on the shore for it to fit. I didn't hate the movie though. It was Star Warsy enough for me to be entertained.

You can watch ROS and think about plot issues. Attack of the Clones is hard to watch. TLJ is TLJ, and is also responsible for half the issues you noted with ROS.
I'd rate ROS above AOTC, TLJ and Phantom Menace. It's about on Revenge of the Sith level for me.

Sure it wasn’t really a good movie, but at least it was a fun watch. As a fan I enjoyed it way more than the Last Jedi, it actually felt like Star Wars. That being said Disney needs to not do new trilogies and stick to the “Star Wars story” movies. Those are actually good.

It's not as bad as TLJ, which is the source of most of the hatred of the ST. My main issue with TROS is I think the saga should have ended at ROTJ and if there had to be a ST that it should have been a peak Luke Skywalker taking down Sidious in an epic battle.

the key to understanding Star Wars is that its primary target audience is kids. If you aren't a kid, you are thinking too hard or maybe not thinking at all.
