It was slated for a Fourth of July weekend release but it's now taking over the slot just recently vacated by Tom Cruise's other film, Mission: Impossible 7 - which will now be releasing on Memorial Day of next year.

guess they're really wanting everyone to get vaccinated so they will be going to the theaters again in time for next years bumped release...

Hard for me to be upset because, for some reason, I thought I had already seen that it was going to be a fall release?

Are we sure that the guy writing this article isn't a little late to this story?

Let's face it, people want to see this movie in the theater and no one really cares all that much about the plot and there is no timing issue since it's been a long time coming anyway.

It's still going to be a weird summer box office but no reason things shouldn't be back to normal for football and holiday movie season.

One problem might be the lackluster subscriptions to Paramount+. It has gotten terrible reviews from subscribers, and I don't know anyone personally who has it.

Cruise Productions might be waiting for 80 percent of theaters to re-open or some such arbitrary percentage so they can make this an exclusively theatrical release to guarantee big box office.

AMC sent an email to GA residents telling us that even though all of the state restrictions are now lifted, you're supposed to mask up anyway.

quote:

In your area, a state or local ordinance has recently changed, lifting mask requirements. We wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of our AMC Safe & Clean policies, to help ensure you know what to expect at an AMC Theatre near you.

The health and safety of our guests and crew is always our top priority. AMC will continue our current policy which requires all guests and crew to wear a mask while in any AMC Theatre, regardless of changes to local or state guidelines.

Additionally, masks are required if you have been vaccinated for COVID-19.

Masks are required before, during, and after the movie including in the auditorium, though they may be removed while actively enjoying food and drinks.

AMC will continue to meet or exceed all public health mandates so you can safely enjoy movies on the big screen. Our policies and AMC Safe & Clean initiatives are based on guidance from the CDC and other public health experts.

Please visit AMCTheatres.com for the most up-to-date information.

See you at the movies!

Even if it released to streaming first, I’d still wait to watch it.

Tom Cruise stunt work DEMANDS a big arse screen with big arse Dolby sound.

This, No Time to Die, and Halloween Kills are the only films I have plans to watch in the theater this year.
