I saw a Spoiler warning so i'll just say in Htown the 1:25, 2 something, and 3 were sold out except for the front rows.
Next week hopefully.
ETA. That was today, a Friday.

I'm actually kinda glad Jurassic World and Buzz Lightyear shite the bed because it brought Top Gun back to IMAX. My first viewing was on a regular screen but just scored some IMAX tix this weekend!

Uh, then why is Top Gun back at #1? It’s the only one of the top movies that has any kind of politics or agenda in it.

It should be pointed out that Maverick was supposed to air in March 2020, before COVID, George Floyd, etc. and everyone suddenly becoming a hardcore republican/democrat.
It makes you wonder how much different the movie would've been made if it was produced in 2021/22.

What would you like to wager on the wokeness of the next MI movie?
What's funny is this movie had strong females, minorities, all of it. It just didn't throw it in your face and make the white man the devil.

You're kinda strange.
Also, you can argue that Tom Cruise is the OG modern woke celeb with his scientology BS in the early 2000's.

Which of his movies are woke?

Just to revisit this:
Lightyear didn’t get to $20 mil it’s second weekend. Top Gun passes a billion worldwide. And the new minions are opening this weekend. Lightyear an even bigger bomb than we thought.

Scientology is a lot of (by reports from former members and executives of the church) things, but it isn't woke.
Cruise had the public meltdown about psychology/psychiatry, but I don't recall his knighting for infinite genders, tokenism for tokenism's sake, wypipo, etc.
