Kim told Jimmy they would build a better wall.

Did his office tonight look like a cathedral of justice?

She's going to help him build that ridiculous office.

I don't know how you guys can't see what's coming.

We have 7 episode left and almost every single thing I've said since Kim asked Jimmy for a dollar has come to pass.

If you're still not listening, you are the a-hole.

I can have a civilized discussion if you disagree without insulting me.

The down voters with nothing to say only encourage me.

Howard has no chance. He's going to get destroyed. It's pretty obvious.

Mike's eventually going to kill some Germans, just hope he gets Kai.

I think Walt, Gail, and Jesse are probably cooking on top of Lalo's bones, but that's not a big stretch.

I'm guessing he dies in that lab and gets cemented over. The hidden gun is there for a reason.

Funny how you ignored the middle name divorce court theory comment.

Do you still think that's a thing? You seemed pretty convinced about that before the season started.

Divorce court, and 1 tooth brush theory that was all over reddit.

VS.

Why is Kim's painting post it board in Saul's bachelor pad?

Legit question. There's no reason for it to be there if Kim hasn't been there.

Why does Saul's real office contain Kim's furniture? I'm still going strong for years now. You have 7 episodes left to dismiss all the things I've told you.

We also still have to deal with ISZA. Keep arguing with me though.

We're at the end. It's blatantly obvious he doesn't have it in him to be Saul by himself.

She's made of sterner stuff.

Your turn to tell me she dies or they break up and he flips the Saul switch.

Been hearing that bs for years now.

The “gift” that Kim’s mom gave her at the end of the first scene, was that the pair of gold earrings that Kim has been wearing this entire series?

She appears to be wearing the same style while at the vet.

She literally turned her back on this. Had a clear choice to make about which road to take and turned around.

I know. I am saying I wonder if this ends up being what turns her back to the good side (so to speak). She's made her "breaking bad" choice, and she's dabbled in swindling shite before. But she also usually has an "oh shite" moment where she snaps back to reality a bit and calms herself down. So I am wondering if that is gonna happen this time or if she's gonna push all the way through to breaking bad (and stay there).
quote:

And, granted, neither Breaking Bad nor this show were ever truly "realistic" but they usually do a good job of meticulously showing the steps in a character's actions/journey so it was a little jarring that they pretty much "cheated" with Lalo being able to track everybody down in Germany with just the barest crumbs to work with. Screw working for Eladio, with his skills he should have had the Salamancas partnered with the CIA instead and he would get the green light to wax Gus whenever he'd like!

That's a good call, and I think that's what may bother me the most about Lalo. He's basically a cheat code in god-mode. He's always where he needs to be and always gains the upper hand and doesn't lose, basically. It just feels cheap to me. It could've very easily been written to have him get all the info he needed from Magarethe, for example. But instead he's going all over Europe hunting down the workers.

Too much of this feels like "filler" lately, and that is very unlike him. But as always, I have all the faith in the world in Vince, so I am not really worried.

ETA: Does anybody else feel like the vet scene was kinda awkward? Like in what world would he be like "Here, take a look at this book with all of my contact information for all the illegal shite I do..."? I don't care if it was coded or not or that he's wanting to leave the "business," that just seemed like a super stupid move for him to make. He's been portrayed as more careful than that most of the time. It felt sloppy, and like it was forced simply so Saul/Kim could see the vacuum card.

Cool, can you agree to that with everybody else in the thread too? That way you can just suck your own dick and everyone else can just ignore you and actually have some decent discussion about the show?

Listening to the Ringer post show recap and they agree with many points on here.

1. Didnt like the flashback mom scene
2. Said Sony wanted Vince to split it into 2 parts and Vince wanted 10 episodes, so he's having to fill an extra 4 episodes which explains the unnecessary drawn out plot points.
3. They think the Howard stuff is overkill and he's not THAT bad of a dude.
4. Overall said its a downer episode but we should appreciate these and them letting it breath vs a rushed last season.

I agree with that. Or actually, I don't mind them I just wish they had given us glimpses throughout the run of the show as opposed to cramming them into the last season to try to show that Kim isn't who they've shown her to be for five seasons (or four and a half).

That makes some sense, but I would also have expected Vince to have more pull than that considering how successful he's been, especially with this property. I'd have assumed he was in "total creative control" territory at this point. Interesting.

That's just it though, if he had 10 planned out, then you know it wouldn't be rushed at all. Making him spread things out only hurts the story.
