Today’s Kentucky Derby should be made into a movie

I think the longest shot to ever win, beat the favorite, owned by some guys who lost everything in a fire and paid almost nothing for the horse.
The Race
‘ An 80-1 outsider has won the Kentucky Derby, in one of the biggest upsets in the history of America's most celebrated horse race.
Rich Strike - ridden by Sonny Leon - stormed to victory at Churchill Downs in Louisville despite having the longest odds among all 20 horses.
The horse was only brought in on Friday after another had to drop out.
It is the second longest shot to win the Run for the Roses after Donerail won at 91-1 odds in 1913.’
We found out about 30 seconds before the deadline on Friday," Dawson said. "It put us in the race and really we always felt if we just got in we've got a shot."

I don't think I've ever seen a horse who was that far back in the final turn win before. He had to move around so much traffic.

Not the longest. I thought the same thing at first but no

Making a movie about a single race that lasts 2 mins would be obnoxious

Usually when its a cavalry charge like this Derby, the horses up front are safe.
Jockey was stuck in the middle at the back of the pack, made a great move, caught the rail and then had to veer around one horse to get the inside lane again.
But how he escaped that logjam down stretch and weaved to the rail is amazing.

Has he passed the final drug test? Let’s wait and see before we cast the leads.

Well it obviously doesn’t start on race day. It starts when Scarlett Johansson’s character is a little girl.

This is a Pandy Flacker level shite post.
Be better.

What I'm waiting for. That baw was ready to eat every other living thing on the track

Probably needs to be a Denzel Washington character in there as well.

That horse was completely cracked out.

Yeah when the guy riding the horse alongside Rich Strike had to thrust his palm into Rich Strike’s face to get him to stop getting aggressive, I was like - the Twitter woke mob will surely fire up their phones to complain about this.

It will be, but I hope it's better made than that awful Secretariat movie.

Give it a few years and make sure the horse pisses clean

Tom Holland already being cast as Sonny Leon

I've never ever seen a horse with such a lightning bolt up his arse in the final stretch like the Derby Winner.
It would be akin to an Olympic sprinter running a 9.6 in the final 100m of a 5,000 during the kick.
It was stunning.

Plot Twist:
Roger Clemens is back-room owner of Rich Strike.

The horse was so bottled up in the middle, the jockey admitted he couldn't even ask the horse to do anything...just breezed him along until an opening came through down the stretch.
That final 100 yards the horse was like, oh shite, I get to run?
Plus, the lead horses never saw him...they were in a two-horse battle and the jockeys did a very poor job of making sure their horses saw the charging Rich Strike on the indside.
While Rich Strike literally was staring sideways at the lead horse as he caught up to him.
But it's horse racing, nothing would surprise. The most popular sports in the 1920's are still the most crooked today...boxing, horse racing and College Football.
