Brienne finally became a knight. So she’s probably going to die.

They are quickly giving redemption stories to Jamie and Theon. I think they are goners. I think they gave Brienne her moment this episode and she is killed in Ep 3.

Those two are 100% safe until the last two episodes at least. As is Arya.

Gendry is going to die

The really only saving grace I can think of for Jamie is that he has a final showdown with Cersei.

Otherwise, he'd be a huge gonner.

The hound is safe

He exists to kill his brother

Either Tyrion or Jamie have to survive to kill Cersei

As soon as he said he was going to protect Bran, that sealed it for him. I would be stunned at him surviving more than anyone

IMO Jamie lives so he can kill Cersei. Then his redemption arc is completion and he dies.

Everyone in the room with the fire. Tyrion jinxed them all with "I think we might survive."

Jaime will have closer with Cersei one way or another, and the series has firmly hitched their wagon to Jon. Both are definitely safe.

Tyrion, Dany and Sansa are the dark horse death candidates.

Jaime will survive E3 IMO.

Feel like Greyworm needs to die next episode.

I will also throw this out there -- any character who appeared in S1E1 and is still alive will survive S8E3. Why? Because they are obviously the main characters.

These include (in order of their appearance):

Jon
Bran
Sansa
Arya
Theon
Cersei
Jamie
The Hound
Tyrion
Daenerys
Jorah

Theon is a prime example of the 1st episode theory not indicating anything.

He's deader than disco next episode.

Jorah, Theon, Greyworm, Podrick, and Brienne all die in episode 3, imo.

He might be the one exception, IDK. But IMO the 1st episode served three purposes: (1) introduce the main characters, (2) throw in some red herrings (Ned Stark, Robert Baratheon, etc., and (3) get the ball rolling with Jamie pushing Bran out of the window.

I could see Theon dying because that would indeed complete his redemptive arc. However, I hesitate to say that he definitely will because he has been such an important character from the beginning.
