Anti cop
Pro BLM
Hell they even managed to fit in a 5 minute Catholic Church diatribe that felt completely out of place
Woody Harrelson crushed though

Seems to me you were just looking to be offended.

Did you watch the whole movie?
The racist cop is the closest thing to a hero in the movie

I wasn't a big fan of the movie but politics had nothing to do with it. I don't care for films that can't figure out whether it wants to be a comedy or a drama (dark comedy or whatever they call it). Also, the ending was terrible. And don't get me started on someone being unable to realize a building is on fire, even though the fire is only 5-10 feet from them.

Some people can look at a cheeseburger and find a way to get politically offended.

I thought the ending was great and the fire was symbolism. I gave my thoughts on the original thread breaking it down a bit.
Also Dixon was very gay, albeit closeted. His mother, the sheriff, the bar scene, and even Dixon allude to this. That may be the real source of his anger, not racism. With that said, dude was still pretty racist.

God are you this desperate to be offended by something?

If you think this movie was simply Anti Cop or pro BLM then you didn’t pay attention
There are even liberals who are mad that the cop turned into a good guy because he was supposed to be a racist... So which is it?

The end was foreshadowed throughout the movie and ended so perfectly. I like different movies for what they are, and this is one of the best written movies I have seen in a very long time.
For those that felt let down by the ending, watch it again actively. Pay attention to what is said and isn’t, and how Mildred, Dixon, et al act and react. It was quite masterful.
the guy in Idaho is a parallel. He didn’t do it, but he committed a crime and the only way it gets solved is in 5-10 yrs he gets arrested for something and there is a DNA match, or some jailhouse confession or in a bar bragging to his friends (sound familiar?).

So what about the show with the guy in your avatar? It had a lot of dark comedy in it, I felt.

The Sopranos was a drama with an occasional line that would make viewers chuckle.
Three Billboards would go from something really dramatic to a theater audience laughing out loud as if it were a 90s Jim Carrey flick. Not a fan of that type of mixture.
